how do you summon demons? ok, i'm sure this has been answered over and over again, but i haven't found anything except discussions on how to change it actually i get the summoning part, just not the demon pool part. if you buy a lesser demon pool, what is this? basically the amount of lesser demons that you have painted? there is no discription but says your opponent is always allowed to see your demon pool. or do you buy a different demon pool for khorne and another for nurgle? again, sorry if it's been answered before, but the wording is a little confusing |

When making your list you but x lesser daemons and x greater daemons. Lesser or greater daemons not a particular type. So if I have a BL force with Khorne and Nurgle factions in it, I buy for example 10 lesser daemons for 200pts, from this pool any khorne formation can summon 2 D3 bloodletters or daemonic beasts, each nurgle formation can summon 2 D3 plaguebearers or daemonic beasts each activation. I generally put dice at the edge of the board showing how many daemons I have, So 10 initially then i summon 4 - down to 6 etc. At the end of the turn daemons are returned to the pool , unless you have an Icon bearer when they can choose to remain on board, but killed daemons do not replensih the pool. |

If you want 2 GDs then buy 2 GDs forming a pool of 2 GDs |

In summary, as Steve says, you pay for a number of 'generic' daemons. They are generic while they are off-table, only becoming specific types when they are put onto the table, and becoming generic when they disappear. Also, you do not need to keep to the factions - you could summon any type of daemon to a formation depending on what you are intending to do; but if they are 'hated', then the formation initiative would drop to 2+ (which is why people tend not to mix&match like this). You have to summon daemons for for the faction, or 'undivided' Daemonic beasts |

I don't think that's right Ginger, I'm pretty sure each formation mark specifies what daemons it can summon. |
