Hey Dobbsy, I looked this over as well. I have a few questions and comments. Special rules - These are a bit clunky. Some conditions apply to units. Some apply to formations. Activation mods are spread out over two different rules. I can't tell which units the unit-specific rules should apply to. Nothing is listed as having "Augmented Psychosis" or "Blood Rage". I also have the same questions as with frogbear's list about whether these are supposed to apply all the time as overall force rules, or if they are specific to the GT list, though they seem to be intended for general application to all scenarios. Mechanically, the activation rules are fairly elaborate. I think (or at least I hope) you can get the same feel with much lower complexity. Dreadnought/Blood Slaughterer - These units have almost identical abilities. There's not much to distinguish them. I would recommend keeping some of the dreadnought firepower to maintain distinct roles for the two units. LR - Is there a reason it cannot carry Renegade units or Annihilators? Annihilators - I don't know if the underlying Renegade formation is properly costed or not, but 25 points to upgrade to Annihilators is dirt cheap. They cost about the same as Predators (counting the substitution cost) but they pack more firepower per unit and have all their meat-shield buddies around them. In the choice between adding a Pred to a formation or upgrading 2 units to Annihilators for the same price, it's a no-brainer. Even though the Pred adds a unit, the Annihilators are clearly better (especially if you don't already have AVs attached to the formation). Brass Scorpions - I'm still wondering about whether both are necessary. Also, you have a similar pricing discrepancy between the two versions as frogbear. In your case, though, it's the other way. The Greater doesn't have the improved armor of frogbear's version, so it's not that much tougher and the price differential is probably a touch too high. Dreadclaws - Have you guys really found that the lack of scatter makes up for the loss of the Deathwind barrage? I know delivery to CC is very important in this list, but I don't recall that many unrecoverable scatters. |

Quote: (Evil and Chaos @ Feb. 16 2010, 16:52 ) Well, a "Khornate War Horde" and a "World Eaters Chaos Marine" could both easily exist, based on the same "core" rules, but with varied/additional formations and units to make them distinct. |

If you and frogbear can't come to an agreement about who does which element of khorne marines neither list will ever get ERC accepted. As a start, at least agree on stats for commonly shared units. |

I would simply prefer one single list to emerge from a merger, as happened with the Dark Angels. Surely both developers are above damaging the community by developing two competing lists. |

Actually, I'd say it's in the Army Champion's hands currently. Personally, I'd like to see a third person take over and merge the best concepts of the various World Eaters lists to get a "core" list; using the ideas and experiences without the animosity and hard feelings. The NetEA project is supposed to be about working together, in open fashion, to build lists as teams of players. Yes there are "champions", and even rivalries, and egos do get in the way, but the spirit of the project is supposed to be a sense of community and co-operation, not a "*my* list is the bestest!" competition. |

Regardless, developing two lists, both purporting to be the "World Eaters" list, is damaging to the community. |

Why are Annihilators' "Heavy Weapons" better than any other heavy weapon in the game? 3x AP4+/AT4+ 45cm is just nuts. |
