Gday all, I'm just slowly putting together my next project for the Emperors Children and I had originally planned on using the standard old Plastic Knight figures for these, but as I looked more into the figures stats I realized that the figures don't actually match what the stats would be like.

I was wondering if anyone had any ideas for models? I'm currently thinking any kind of Lancer (1, 2 or 3), but was wondering if anyone out there had any other ideas?

Do you know about the original Slannesh knight models? They're hard to find but quite nice looking :-)
Otherwise I'm sure the plastic knights would be a fine start for a conversion.

Eldar Knights (eBay) could also be an excellent starting point.

Look for the Hell Knights on eBay. They go for cheaper than their cousins, and are a good base to start from (having the legs and sloping design).

Cheers dude   :agree:

Wow talk about kismet, I just scratch built 2 of these today. I started with Tau stealth suits, cut the top armor off, flipped the torso upside down, used claws from an ork truck for an arm,an eldar pulse laser with scratch hinge.added greenstuff "studs" on the legs and paint.I knwo this sounds wierd, but I will try to post photos tomorrow. :p

I'd also try and avoid chopping up OOP miniatures if at all possible, so the idea using 40k Tau legs sounds pretty good. I'm sure there must be some good bits in the eldar and dark eldar range as well, not to mention the chaos mutation spures or daemonettes

edit: Ok, after taking a look at the GW store I'd go for the following recipe:

Daemonette legs, you could modify the feet slightly to look more like mechanical hooves like the original Knight models using greenstuff.
Body could be the head from a Wraithlord or something similar smooth and relatively mechanical looking. Tilt it 90 degrees.
Add weapons of your choice from the eldar, dark eldar or chaos range. (daemonettte claws could also look pretty cool)
add some slaaneshi iconography, bug eyes (if you want to do a subjugator or questor) and maybe some fine jewelers chains, studs or spikes.

Hey CG.

I used the plastic knights as the base for my Chaos Knights.

I used WFB Tomb Kings heads, 40K Chaos mutation bits and other bits and pieces from my spares box.

More pics HERE

Looking forward to seeing what you come up with.

Necron legs with modified feet, some chaos shoulderpads, deamonette claws, and other bits.

I actually pieced out the bits to put together several Slaanesh knight conversions and made a list.  I look around for the list once I get home, but you really have a ton of options considering all the GW plastics.

Those old ugly Slaanesh models that rotted on store shelves at release back in the '90s are begging for reinvention anyway. :)

There were three types of Daemon Knights:

Hell Scourge
Hell Strider
Hell Knights

And two types of scout Titan:

Questor
Subjugator

Really nice models in my opinion. Just need to get my hands on two questors and 3 hell scourges!
