So, I'm doing my usual of giving a list a spin before I get too deep into it. So be gentle...

First off, since I don't know anything about this list, any comments in general would be greatly appreciated. Obviously, this is not one of TRC's Ultra-competitive lists, or at least I don't think it is, primarily because I'm picking units that I like and will enjoy having in my army.

Secondly, the army is all about Carnage, with a capital "C", along with an unhealthy dose of choppy, slicey bitz. So basically get to grips with stuff as quickly as possible, then tear it to pieces. I know, not that imaginative and they certainly won't get invited back to the party.

Thirdly, I'm also looking at or weighing equally, the modeling aspect of this list. It has tremendous potential, which I am very excited about. I intend for it to show very well.

I originally thought that I'd go with a drop pod version of this list, but since I already do that with my Loyalist marines, I figured that I didn't need to go there again...or at least, not right from the beginning.

So here, goes, axes awaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaY!!!

- Berzerkers Replace 4 Traitors 50
- Slaughterers 2 x Slaughterers 150
- Spawn 2 x Spawn 100

* Terminator Retinue 1 x Lord Upgrade, 5 x Terminators 365
- Obliterators 3 x Obliterators 255

* Berzerkers 6 x Berzerkers 275
- Slaughterers 2 x Slaughterers 150
- Prince 1 x Prince 50

* Brass Scorpions 2 x Brass Scorpions 250
* Brass Scorpions 2 x Brass Scorpions 250

* Hell Talon Squadron 2 x Hell Talons 175

So this puts me at 2975 pts and 8 activations, which seems reasonable. It's very AA light based on other lists I take, so I figure I'm going to take my lumps there. Terminators/Oblits are an interdictory force, Traitors in rhino's are to get there quicker than the foot Berzerker forces. The Brass Scorpions are supposed to be scary. It's not lost on me that the formations are not that large, especially in relation to Krieg formations, but I'll test those out and look for feedback.

Hmm i don't expect the Berzerker formation with the Daemon Prince to survive for long because they are relatively slow.

And perhabs i should give the Chaos Spawn Disposable and rename it Chaos Space Marine Spawn? Would fit because i don't think that Chaos Space Marines would care if such a creature would die.

Anyway i would like to see this army in action  :agree:

BTW: Correct german would be Schlachthaus Fünf  :)  Try to pronounce the "ch" correct because there is no similar sound in englisch  :cool:

No, but there is a similar sound in Scottish and Welsh...

"ch as in loch".

Correct :) Actually the scottisch Loch sounds the same as the german Loch which means Hole :)

Q1: So, would it make more sense to put the DP in the larger Traitor + Berzerker formation? Each core formation is allowed up to 4 upgrades, if I am reading the list correctly.

Q2: I am assuming that each upgrade for a core formation may only be taken once?

Q3: Now this may border on dipping into the "minutiae" category, but it seems odd that Cults, can't take an upgrade of themselves so that Berzerkers could get 8 units in their formation, the Noise Marines stay at base 6, Thousand Sons get 9 units, Nurgle 7. Thats more of a fluffy thing than a balance thing, but seeing as consorting with Berzerkers is not considered a career enhancing position, that there ought to be a way to run "pure" cult formations that aren't so fragile.

Thoughts/reasonings for the current configuration?

Allow too many upgrades, and you end up with a really huge Fearless formation.

Q1: Most of the time i see Daemon Princes teleporting in with Chaos Terminators.
Q2: Correct. For each formation four in total and each only once.
Q3: What E&C says.
