Give me a better name than "bloody slime balls of change" and I'll get on it.  8v)
Both the Night Lords or the Word Bearers haven't had lists designed for them to my knowlege.
Night Lords would appear to be pretty much 'typical' undivided Chaos Space Marines, although rarely use daemons (and only undivided daemons then), and apparently hate the Chaos Gods themselves (reminds me of Malal).
The Word Bearers are closer to the Black Legion in modus operandi, but also are known to use lots of Cultists as well.

Perhaps it's Traitor Marines we're talking about?
The original ones made into more generic form.
And that form is a Warlord belonging to one faction and able to recruit an ally of one other faction. And his TO&E are Warbands with daemon engine upgrades possible.

Thus we can get the feel of actual raiding parties out of the Eye of Terror.
Would this approach work?

And if it would, then I would like to apply for working on it.
(And if people would like to help out initially by trading Squats for Daemon Engines (from Khorne, Nurgle and Slaanesh) it would be swell. I simply got to many Squats.)

The usual process for starting an ERC army list is to propose a structure / points costs / stats, preferably in a downloadable army list document. You should also provide a supporting 'mission statement', explaining what the army list is supposed to represent.

So the 'mission statement' for the Black Legion is to represent the Black Legion as it appeared during the Siege of Cadia, the mission statement for the Red Corsairs is to represent a recently-turned traitor Space Marines list, etc.

If the proposal gains the approval of the Army Champion (for Chaos Space Marines, that's Lord Inquisitor) then the list becomes an ERC 'experimental' army list.

Many are the bones of the dead army lists that didn't make the cut.

No problem.

Anyone got word-documents with the stats?
Trying to extract them from PDF-files is pure biatchic.

At this point in the process, you really don't need the stats in your proposal, just the actual army list organization and point costs.

Aye as I understand it you're proposing a new organisational style, not changed stats.

Ah yes. But both of them is found inside tables not easily extracted from PDF's. Unless I extract them as pictures and re-arrange them that way.

Or just retype them? It's a page or two at most, you don't need to include the datafaxes that are staying the same.

What's the problem?
Are they on hand somewhere or not?
At one point I'll have to do that job anyhow. Even if it's only under the "DWWFY" banner.

No the army list page from the Black Legion army list is not available, just type it up it doesn't have to be more than 10 minutes work with a couple of tables in a word document.

Are you talking about the unit stats?  Or the army list?

If you're making a new list with different organization, why would you need the original lists?

Never mind.
I'll extract them somehow.

*What* are you trying to extract?  That's what people are asking.

If the army list, why do you need to "extract" a single page from a pdf?  I can send you a blank army list template, but if you're changing the army list, you'll be changing the template as well.

Those you mentioned, army list and stat list.
Having to extract them is a biatchic extra job when they already are somewhere in an XLS. Not to mention the risk of copying them incorrectly and get three pages of "constructive criticism"...

Why do you need an extracted stat list to make a new army list?

Why do you need to change the stats?
I thought you just wanted to propose a new army list style?
