Post subject:  Chaos Squats
Hello

Ok I'm a bit of a N00b when it comes to Chaos.

Would someone give me a very quick, Chaos Squats for Dummies explanation on what they are and what they are used for and if they are any good?

all i know is that they were Squats that turned "to the dark side" but as I said, I have no experience with playing either chaos or squats. In fact Im mainly a collector/painter. But chaos squats caught my attention.

There's very little about them out there..."sqauts that turned to chaos" and that's about it really!
They are meant to have made the chaos cannons (forget what they're called) and possibly a lot of the other chaos/khorne war engines too, but other than that they're pretty rare; guess one could use them as cultists or mutants in a legion of the damned list? I've got some crewing my chaos artillery.

I've got 3 detachments(15 Stands)of Chaos Squats from the old Chaos sprues ... In the old rules each power could have 2-3 Detachments per CSM Legion. They basically worked as slower infantry(Squats have shorter legs, can't move as fast as humies !), can be transported by Rhinos and fight along side CSMs ...  8v)

Bolster stands of CSM, or cultists/mutants?

Shouldn't they be given their old place?
Some sort of fire fight / assault troops for Black Legion.
That way it would be easier to field a pure faction force.

In NetEpic they are evil Squats who make all the coolist toys for the Champions to play with... like Cannon of Khorne to name but one. I suppose they could have the Tech ability with any stretch of the imagination. I don't know what you boys do with them in EA though.

We sit and look at them and damn JJ to The Eye for letting GW drop Epic.
But then the squats where already dropped, so it doesn't really matter.

Apart from that I'd use them as per above.

I cut my Chaos squats in half and glued them onto old Marine legs.

Bingo - More Chaos Marine....
At least they are usable then and I've somehow gathered so many of the little fellas, I must use them.

Stunningly obvious! I had to use them to bolster out my chaos marine units and i hate the fact that they're stunty little buggers; i'm going to go and do this RIGHT NOW!
