Does anyone have any thoughts on how the Blood Pact vehicles stack up against their Imperial counterparts? The fluff says they have some Baneblades, but it's mainly Urdeshi pattern vehicles. They say these are slightly inferior to imperial vehicles, but how inferior is inferior?

No real idea.

Blood Pact have three types of vehicles
Inferior patterns of Imperial vehicles (stubbers and bad armour)
New patterns of light vehicles like the 6-wheeled light tank and recon vehicles
Stalk Tank which is a Chaos vehicle

No real idea how inferior the Imperial patterns are meant to be though

Perhaby only inferior when it comes to range of operation, long term durability, etc.

I seem to recall several references to poorer armour and lower quality weapons (like stubbers replacing autocannons) in several of the books.

That's what I'm reading as well.

I'm just wondering if Blood Pact would make a good list for Epic. They are for certain not a straight LatD list, as their capabilities are meant to be as good as Imperial Guard, with the Deathguard troops as good as IG Stormtroopers.

Well we have stats for Heavy Stubbers due to the Seigemasters, and they are quite a bit worse than Autocannons
Autocannon - 45cm AP5+/AT6+
Hvy Stubber - 30cm AP6+

Weake armor could be a lower save  or could just be handwaved away like the Lucius pattern Baneblade which has lower tech armor but more of it.

They are intentionally based on the Imperial Guard structure so they should be easy to model.

You can use Guard vehicles and just write stats that aare slightly toned down.

There are more than enough 6mm 6 wheeled tanks for the force. The only problem is the Stalker

I started taking notes for a list some time ago.

I'm just reading 'Honour Guard' now, and the AT70 Reaver tanks almost sound like they could be well modelled using Russian T-80 miniatures. It definately says that they are not Imperial style armour, and this would give them a definate look.

Also have half tracks with AT guns mounted on the backs of them. Hmmmm... Light vehicles with a big gun....

Alright, here's my thought process on the look of these things now.

Part of me likes the idea of having the Urdeshi vehicles look coherent, as they are from the same Forge World. So, I've got one set of ideas floating around my head for having them made up of WWII German Vehicles, from GHQ's range.

Reaver Tank - Tiger II
Brigand - Maus
N50 half tracks - SdKfz 250. Mount a Pak 40 in the compartment for the AT version, and they mention flamer equipped versions in Sabbat Martyr, which is already a varient available.
Armoured Car - SdKFZ 231/232.
Usurper SPG - Sturmtiger.

Stat wise, based purely on fluff, the Reavers should be weaker than Leman Russes, the Brigands should be about on par. I like the idea of N50's being Light Vehicles, but I'm open to thoughts as to why they should not be.

The only thing is these vehicles will be quite a bit smaller that the normal Epic ones, I'll try and get some photos to compare.
I don't have a Maus though and I don't think I have a sturmtiger but definitly have the others so comparisons should be easy enough to arrange.

That would be appreciated, as I no longer have any of my GHQ stuff (I think I lost track of those 3 countries ago).

I'm looking as an alternative at Pax Arcadia tanks from DRM, but that'll leave me a bit short for the 6 wheeled armoured car and the N50 half track, though again, there are options in WWII or modern ranges.

Sd.Kfz.251/22 "Pakwagen" would be the halftrack mounting a 7,5cm Pak 40.

The flamer-variant is the Flammpanzerwagen Sd.Kfz.251/16.

Edit: Just checked, GHQ does both:

You're right, and thanks for that, as you've made me realise I posted wrong above. I meant the 251 series, not the 250.
