This issue of how to calculate VPs for Daemon Pools has come up Some issues that I think complicate the issue We have to determine if we want to take into account the cost to summon daemons in the pool. We need to address how we are going to take into account the fact that daemons can be added or removed from the pool We need to discuss the impact of the GD's Critical and how that impacts the VPs Suggestions have been to either count them at full VPs if below half or count them as individual units. Neither address the points above. So the question is whether those points are critical enough to be addressed or if they can be ignored. |

I've stated my opinion over on the SG board: Daemons should count towards victory points in a tied game, and they should be counted on a base-by-base basis. If they're 'dead' at the end of the game, the opponent claims their points. If they're still in the pool, the enemy player can't claim them. Oh and that whole 'roll a 1, lose D3 daemons, roll a 6, gain D3 daemons' is a pretty bad mechanic and needs to be removed, IMHO. |

(Hena @ Aug. 25 2007,13:24) QUOTE My suggestion was to divide the points used for the demon pool to the formations that can summon them. But then how does that interact with the BTS goal? And daemons then count even if they aren't summoned. |

BTW if you are already posting on the Epic forum regarding this there probably isn't much point in repeating your comments here. I started this so people who may not go to the Epic forum can provide some feedback. |

Just for the record can I add my suggestion that the lesser daemon pool is treated as a fortmation. So if it has less than half remaining half points, all gone full points. I'd treat Greater Daemons the same, If killed full points, less than half starting strength half points. |

(Mephiston @ Aug. 26 2007,07:51) QUOTE Just for the record can I add my suggestion that the lesser daemon pool is treated as a fortmation. What happens if I say no? ;-) Its a workable solution and I think it should be the default while we debate the issue |

I'm cool with Mephiston's suggestion too; Just as long as they're counted in some manner. |

I also endorse this approach. |

I'd support that approach, too. I can't think of any other system that both makes sense and isn't complicated and confusing. |
