brilliant! If I can get six games in over the summer I expect we'll be getting in a good position to push for approval :)

A couple of minor queries:

Obliterators are 85 points/unit. Any thoughts on lowering them to 75 as in the Black Legion list?

Similarly, it would be nice to see Chosen as a unit in their own right, rather than Chaos Space Marines with the Scout ability added. Makes no mechanical difference in-game, but is a neater way to represent them in the list.

the points is a typo, they should match the BL list

I'll make chosen a distinct unit type in the next revision, just for you ;)

if you can manage four games that would be great, any more would be even better

basically just try and break the list, there were concerns over thunderhawks+berzerkers, chosen in deathwind pods with pacts may potentially be very nasty

it's mostly around the air transports and drop pods so I'd like to see them heavily tested

as far as I can tell there isn't anything particularly broken, but all attempts to do so are welcomed :)

many thanks for offering to help, much appreciated!

Righteo. I'll run air assault options and see what it can do

having a think last night about the list and realised that the stats for the slaanesh 'daemon knights' don't match any of the stats from the EC list

what are people's thoughts on this?

I see three options:

1) keep it as a distinct version only available to the Red Corsairs
2) drop in the war engine version (and if so, which version(s)?)
3) replace 'daemon knights' with Hell Striders?

please let me know your thoughts and I'll amend accordingly :)

also another thing that occured to me, the list currently has this build available to it:

Terminators - warlord
Terminators - daemon prince, chaos champion (BTS)
Terminators
Terminators
Terminators
Terminators
Thunderhawk
Thunderhawk
Thunderhawk
Thunderhawk
Thunderhawk
Thunderhawk

3000 dead on..... I'd appreciate a few stress tests of such a build if people have the models!

if it's a problem just lob Thawk into WE/air allowance, not much pressure on RC to max that out normally

hm though even then you could take 5 thawk

I vote option 1. I enjoy both lists and both versions of knights immensely just the way they are.

As for full termie list I second moving thunderhawks to WE allowance to at least reduce potential spam.

FWIW, the Daemon Knights in the RC list are exactly the same as the ones in the Lost & Damned Stigmatus Coven list. So here it's the EC list that is deviating from what has already been established.

What I'm not sure of is why Silver Towers are so much cheaper here than in either the Stigmatus Coven or Thousand Sons lists.

Mostly for the sake of being pedantic, the list as currently written doesn't have a WE allowance. It does have an aircraft section that is presumably separate from the rest of the list, but no information is given as to how much of the army's points value may be spent on aircraft. There's no compelling reason you couldn't reduce the aircraft allowance to less than 1/3 of the army if you really needed to limit the availability of Thunderhawks.

I'll see about a bit of an organisational re-jig, the air assets should have a 1/3 limit as usual

Also considering dropping terminators into the support choices to retain the air-heavy options while reducing potential terminator spam....

Thoughts?

I don't see any issues with those ideas.

Perhaps against an approved list like Codex Astartes.
You know, a nice balanced army like this:
Incompertus, 3000 POINTS
Codex Astartes (NetEA Tournament Pack 2014)
==================================================

TERMINATOR [450]
4 Terminators, Supreme Commander

THUNDERHAWK [200]

TERMINATOR [400]
4 Terminators, Chaplain

THUNDERHAWK [200]

TERMINATOR [400]
4 Terminators, Chaplain

THUNDERHAWK [200]

TERMINATOR [400]
4 Terminators, Chaplain

THUNDERHAWK [200]

TERMINATOR [350]
4 Terminators

THUNDERHAWK [200]

:D

I like the Corsairs list Kyuss, and can't wait to give it a run.
