Is Corps pronounced the same way as Choir in English?

Not quite.

Corps is pronounced the same as core (and not at all the same as corpse, despite coming from the same root).
Sample:
http://www.axelfendersson.co.uk/junk/corps-core.mp3

Choir is pronounced differently:
http://www.axelfendersson.co.uk/junk/choir.mp3

Obviously, both of these will vary slightly depending on accent. In particular, rhotic accents (such as those from North America or the South-West of England) will have a more pronounced r-sound at the end of both words.

Good? Bad? Thread of its own? If yes then where?

Definitely sounds interesting. A thread of its own might well be a good idea, but I'm not sure where. Possibly in here; the majority of the armies involved are Chaos ones, after all.

Never read any Dr.Who novels (but i enjoy the tv-show).

Heavenly sounds better because of its captial city Heavenly Sphere and its starport Heavenly Harbour without changing the parent name.

Well in german Chor (german for Choir) is pronounced the same as Korps (german for Corps) which sounds like your "khorpse" without the "p"  :)
Ok then. I will stick to Choir instead i guess.

Edit: Thank you AxelFenderson. That clears it :)

So finally Vraks 3 arrived. Interestingly the description of the blight Drones Mawcannon says "- Mawcannon (vomit or phlegm)" which opens the interpretation that it either can choose every time it shoots or that you have to choose before the game begins.
As i want onlyone stat for the Blight Drone i choose  the firstoption sothe current stats for Epic remains unchanged inthis regard.
But the Twin Reaper Cannon will be un-twinlinked. Because a Reaper Cannon is always twin-linked i guess i know why there was confusion. So the Blight Drone will have a generic Reaper Cannon.

The Blood Slaughterer can remain unchanged.

Here a further WIP (V3.16 now)of the Red Corsairs armylist.

All stats are now set (i hope) so thelist is playable. Only the layout needs to be worked on. You can also see the distortion effects i have with OpenOffice:

I am using this and other lists to balance the points in the force I am working on so I am hoping you can help me with your reasonings for the below:

I noticed in the daemon Engine Summoning, you have 4 Defilers for 250 points. Normally that would be 300 points so you have given a 50 point discount. Do you think that this may be too cheap? I would have thought that if a discount was warranted, then 275 points would be an appropriate discount. (personally, I am not sure that a discount is warranted for a group of defilers as they have so many more benefits as a group than as a single model)

In the same section, the Blood Slaughterer is 4 for 250 points and as an upgrade for 75 points. I am confused as I had this unit priced at 50 points a model. Are you able to advise why the 75 points and the discount when purchasing 4?

Defiler: The official Chaos List does not have Infiltrator on this vehicle as standard. Should it have Infiltrator for any reason?

That is it for now.

Cheers.....

All of the suggested changes to Chaos units from the from here have been incorporated into the versions found in here, so Defilers have infiltrator, Obliterators don't have AA, Hell Talons have only 1BP and are only 200 points, etc.

Thanks Axel and Zombo

Muchly appreciated. I forgot all about those changes  :agree:

There is still the questions now on the points costs....

Upgrades are always more expensive than if the unit of the upgrade would form a formation of its own.
For the initial points cost of 250 for the Daemon Engine Summoning...well i guess the answer lies somewhere in this 400+ posts thread
Iirc it was suggested from one of the people here and never was objected.

Actually, that's incorrect. Upgrades are normally a little cheaper, as a new formation in its own right tends to pay a little premium to pay for the extra activation.

Really?
Ork Warband: 2 Nobz, 6 Boys, 2 Grotz = 200pts
As upgrade 2 x 35pts + 6 x 25pts = 220pts (mor expensiv but then there are 4 more Grotz)

Stormboys Warband: 6 STormboys = 150pts
As upgrade = 6 x 25pts = 150pts (same cost)

Blitz Birgade: 4 Tanks = 150pts
As upgrades: 4 x 35pts = 140pts (here it is true)

If i skim furhte rinthe Orklist i see that most formations are the same cost as if upgrades only. They become a discount if they are big or 'uge mobs.

ImperialGuard TankCompany: 9 Leman Russ and 1 Vanquisher = 650pts
As upgrades:  3 x 200pts (TankSquadron) = 600 which is 66,6pts per tank. Thats more than the 50pts left for the Vanquisher.

Yes...yes it is :D
So can we agree that there is no obvious consensus throughout the armylists? :D

Else: If playtesting shows,t hat the Daemon Engine Summoning is too cheap i can increase its cost.
