Hmm. Will consider it. I don't have to follow the AMTL pricing because this isn't a AMTL Titan it is a Titan in a Red Corsairs list. So pricing will be individually apropiate for THIS armylist. The AMTL pricing i only use as a guide.
So i will be happy to see any playtest reports :)

A couple of things.

First, I notice that some units (the Blood Slaughterer, Blight Drone, Chaos Thunderhawk, Chaos Drop Pod and Harbinger Bomber) are still missing flavour-text, and quite a few of the other units need theirs re-writing as they explicitly refer to the Black Legion or to having been at war for millennia. I have, in spare moments over the last couple of weeks, written up some replacement fluff text for these units. Would that be helpful to you? If so, I'll post it here.

I also notice that there are quite a few typos and minor grammatical errors in the document. I've put together a complete list; would it be helpful if I were to post that here as well?

Okay, here's the list of corrections.
http://www.axelfendersson.co.uk/redcorsairs/errata.txt

And here's the flavour-text.
http://www.axelfendersson.co.uk/redcors ... r-text.txt
The text for the Daemon Prince, Chaos Dreadnought, Chaos Rhino and the Desecrator are slight revisions of the current versions; I've just changed a few words here and there. All the others I re-wrote from scratch. Some of it is, I admit, a bit hackneyed, but I figure it doesn't have to be great literature.

As an aside, I also put together a re-organised and re-formatted document that apes the layout of the E:A rulebook and of Swordwind. I originally just did it for my own amusement, but I wonder whether you or anyone else might have some use for it. It's at
http://www.axelfendersson.co.uk/redcorsairs/.
The changes are:
1. Incorporated all the corrections from the above list and all the new flavour-text.
3. Re-formatted everything to use the same font as Swordwind and the rulebook, and for the most part a similar layout. The main exception being that unit flavour-text is in only one column, as many of them are too short to look right in two.
2. Re-organised the document slightly. The army list is now at the end, following the Forces section, in the style of Swordwind and the rulebook.
3. Renamed the 'Bikes' and 'Retinue' formations to 'Bike Retinue' and 'Traitor Retinue' respectively. This is just a suggestion, but it makes the naming of the core formations more consistent and replaces the rather boring 'Retinue' with a slightly more descriptive name.
4. Expanded the background section slightly. The text is lifted largely from the 2nd Edition Codex: Chaos, with the more up-to-date details folded in where appropriate (and, though it pains me to do so, all references to Squats removed).
5. Incorporated the reference sheet into the main document.
6. Bumped the version number to 3.14.1.

Hope I'm not being too presumptuous with this. I can PM you the original .odt file if you want it.

Nice! Pimping the document optically was planned anyway but was supposed to look mor elike my colour version of the ArmageddonSteelLegion PDF (together with pictures of the units, etc). But this is a very nice start.
It woul dbe very helpful to have yiur originak .odt file so i can make future correction in tihis pimped-up version :) I will PN you my e-mail.

And as for renaming formations: In a previous posting i proposed renaming the Bike Formation to Hounds (as Hounds of Huron) and the Retinue to Corsairs (as Red Corsairs) but was declined because it would cause confusion...

I just had a quick skim-read through this, it looks really good Axel!

I thought I'd just share something with you that might be of interest, next time this army list gets revised/corrected, and you if you may feel like expanding the background section.

I don't know if you've seen it, but Bell of Lost Souls produced a pretty cool Badab War campaign codex that has loads of background about the Badab War and the Astral Claws - and, of course, the Red Corsairs.  You might find it an interesting read.

You can see it here.

I think in the case of the 'hounds' formation it probably would: anyone who doesn't have a copy of the 40K Apocalypse book wouldn't know what it referred to.

But I don't think the slightly more subtle change I was suggesting would cause any real confusion.

Well it's a Hounds Formation and if you look up what units it has it has Bikes. So how is that confusing?  :;):

Oh and i found some typos too    You missed the number of Cult Marines in the Cult Marine formation (six), some doubling of a few words in the background section and the beginning of the army list there is one "Chaos" to much.
I will correct this in V3.15.

So if anyone has good high solution pictures of Red Corsairs models it would help a lot to pimp up the armylist even more :)

Curses!

Actually, I've spotted another one, as well. The footnote for the Khorne Daemon Engines says 'Daemon Assault Engines' rather than 'Blood Slaughterers'. Ah, well.

Version 3.15 uploaded.

This is majoraly a graphicaly pimped up version with AxelFendersons help. Some spelling errors where corrected thome fluff tidbits added (but several are to short and stillneed improvments) and imperial tactical symbols are included as placeholders until i get the chaos ones.
The two pages of the army list will be improved in future versions so that they look similar to the White Scars armylist. I will then include a full colour file, a full black/white file and a separate two pages armylist as stripped down version to safe printer ink :)

Comments and battlereports are welcome :)

That is one nice looking PDF

Good job BL. Gives the rest of us a new level to work towards.

Cheers....   :agree:

Edit: I especially like the last 4 pages. Nice and easy to read.

I did think it strange that you gave the Khorne Berzerkers a tactical symbol however   :sulk:

Well a big deal of thanks goes to AxelFenderson who initially inspired me to pimp the file up :) And finally i got the fonts GW uses :)

So for now i still need the Chaos tactical symbols and good pictures of painted models of all the relevant units. Preferably in Red Corsairs colours and shot at the same angle as in the Epic rulebook.

And i'm not really satified with the title page. Ok the Red Corsairs chapter symbol needs to be cleaned up but i'm not that happy with the font. Any ideas? Should i ask stugmeister? :D

Looks superb, better than the Black Legion army list document even.

Well, I'd still recommend Impact (which was what I used), if only because it's the font GW used for the titles on Swordwind and the Armageddon rulebook.

Nice to see what you've done with the document. A few nit-picking comments, though:

1. The black border has turned grey for two rows of page two of the reference sheet.

2. On the reference sheet, it might be worth changing "INITIATIVE 1+/2+" to "INITIATIVE 2+ (CHAOS NAVY), 1+ (ALL OTHER FORMATIONS)"

3. The bits at the top of each subsection of the Forces chapter would be best left as one column rather than being split into two. As it is it looks messy and it's hard to see where it ends and the unit flavour-text begins. This wouldn't happen if it were in one column. See pages 76, 90 and 108 of the E:A rulebook, and pages 12 and 16 of Swordwind.

Great to see my contributions being put to good use, though. This is starting to look quite professional, now. It's good to see that having the flavour-text in two columns looks all right with the tactical symbols in place. I'll get back to you if I do get around to doing those symbols, although I won't have time to do anything about it until tomorrow at the earliest.

The Blight Drone being the worst offender. I didn't have much to go on with that unit, though, and was reluctant to just make stuff up.

EDIT: Actually, I see you have used a single column for the top of RC1.2. I would strongly recommend doing the same for 1.3 and 1.4.
