From looking at the list I too would say 2 support formations per core would be fairer.

I played two games with V3.8 against Jonluke on Tuesday evening.
Awesome games, as I suspected I might, I personally really enjoyed the feel of the list.
Game 1 : Red Corsairs vs. Minervan Tank Legion Result: 2-0 Victory to me on turn 4.
Game 2: Red Corsairs vs. Minervan Tank Legion Result: Draw.
Incidentally it was the first time I'd played with or against the Minervans too... the list felt balanced to fight against.

Chaos Thunderhawk - 250
Cult Marines - 300 Six Berzerkers & a Chaos Lord character Daemonic Pact
Cult Marines - 300 Six Noise Marines & a Chaos Lord character Daemonic Pact
Daemon Pool - 195 Eight Lesser Daemons One Greater Daemon
Hell Talon Squadron - 200 Two Hell Talons

I only just realised I was 50pts under the limit... next time I add more... probably more AA (Can't rely on those fighter-bombers forever).
As this is the Chaos Regegades list, why are there no Chaos Hunter AA vehicles?

Game 1:
The minervan list looked something like:
3x Stormblades 3x Stormswords 3x Baneblades (Supreme Commander in one) Leman Russ Company with Vanquisher & Hydra Leman Russ Company with Vanquisher & Hydra
Total: 3000pts
I used my high strategy rating to manuever early and often, keeping out of LOS of the enemy tanks and Engaging them when I could, crossfiring them when I couldn't.
Notable occasion: A Thunderhawk full of Khorne Berzerkers flies down to hit a Leman Russ Tank company (Which had BM's on it). Despite base-to-basing all but two Russes, the Russ score 4 hits, three of which are failed (Three Berzerkers dead).
Despite horrifying supporting fire that meant I laid ~15 hits in the Russ Company, Jonluke failed only two saves... the Thunderhawk popped, and the Berzerkers fell back broken (Though they did later rally and fought well the rest of the game).
The Chaos Warhound stats felt good.
I accidentally thought that the Greater Daemon had two TK attacks, when today I find that it actually only has MW attacks... I don't think it affected the outcome of either game though.
Game 2:
Minervan list:
Jonluke exchanged a Russ Company for an artillery company.
My Daemon Prince started the game by Teleporting on one wing of the enemy army, killing a Stormblade in an engagement and crumbling another, leaving the third broken.
The artillery company hit me hard for the first two turns, and my army was looking kinda ragged, until the point where my Daemon prince summoned a few lesser daemons and engaged it, leaving it with just 3 vehicles remaining (Later whittled to one stubborn BTS Commissar-Basilisk, which just refused to die!).
Notable Events:
1 - The same thing happened with the Khorne Berzerkers vs. a Tank Company again. 
2 - Jonluke enaged a formation of mine that was holding an objective, wins by 2, but on the roll-off loses by 1... this probably moved the game from a victory for him to a draw.

I think the Hunter could be included, because these are Renegades, not ancient traitors, so they have access to post-heresy equipment.

Added Chaos Hunter for Retinue and Terminator Retinue. V3.9 cannow be uploaded in the first posting.
Now waiting if Obliterators change in Black Legion army list.

Why? Marines have them at 75pts and Chaos allready has Obliterators as AA unit. If Obliterators loose AA then i will consider 50pts.

They're overpriced at 75pts in the Marine list, even with ATSKNF.
50pts is a good price for them in this list.

So far Chaos has strong slow AA. With the Hunter they have reasonable fast AA too. This is the reason that Chaos Hunters stay at 75pts for now until Obilterators will loose AA.
