It's pretty; would look great with a pair of chainsaw weapons.

Its armour rating and size put it as AV, albeit with a crazy regenerate rule that would probably mean 3+ RA in Epic.

Stst would be something like this:

Chaos Decimator Daemon Engine
Type Speed Armour CloseCombat Firefight
Armoured Vehicle 15cm 4+ 4+ 4+
Weapon Range Firepower Notes
Butcher Cannon 30cm AP4+/AT5+ -
Decimator Siege Claw 15cm AP4+ Ignore Cover
and (base contact) Assault Weapon Macro-weapon, Extra Attack (+1)

Notes: Reinforced Armour, Fearless, Ignore Cover, Invulnerable Save, Walker.

Stats for other weapons wouild be
Storm Laser 30cm AP5+/AT6+ -
Soul Burner Petard 15cm AP4+/AT5+ -

And i would give it an Invulnerable Save (5+) or perhabs a single Void Shield to represent it's Daemonic Vigour regeneration ability.

Don't forget the Soul Burner Petard! A little additional blast marker action can't hurt!

Assault Cannon has Rending too. This just bestowes a better AT value than one would expect but not Disrupt :)

The chains are probably totemic/ritualistic somehow? It's like drawing a circle of chalk to protect you in a summoning ritual.

It looks pretty cool I reckon. I'd be tempted to use it as a true-scale Chaos Warlord proxy myself.

With that crazy regeneration rule I'd definitely put its armour as 3+ RA. It's tougher to kill than any other vehicle in the game as far as I can see.

Looking at the joints in the arms I'd say it might also compatible with the contemptor weapon sets allowing for some possible funky weapons swaps.

If there was something suitable I could use to emulate exhusts in a similar style to current iteration of Mars pattern titans I'd be all over a conversion using this, I'm sorely tempted already.

Forgeworld have also listed in the dreadnought sub-catagory under Chaos.

Well it has less than Predator Armour. Surely it is more cumbersome than the Dreadnought. But withit regeneration abilities iwoudls give it 4+RA as 3+RA is just over the top.
Or would you play with/against such a unit?

I think that GW missed a golden opportunity to make it a Chaos Knight. To my mind, it's nothing like a Daemon Engine at all, and should not be classified as such. It's clearly a Knight/Dreadnought type model.

That said, if you're more flexible in your definition of a Daemon Engine than I am, then you probably won't have an issue with it.
