Dropping MW also leaves people a better reason to take the Decimators (a little used but excellent unit in my opinion)

With a CC rating of 4+, as well as Fearless, and an excellent gun (better than the loyalist Stormsword), yeah, it's quite good.

Don't see them all that often though...do we? (I.e.: Question: do people use decimators very often?)

MIght be a bit off topic this but I know I'll be picking some up!

During the playtest phase, the answer was : "Often enough that when spammed they completely broke the army list"

Rather than increase their points cost, the army champion at the time introduced a 0-2 limit on formations of them.

Latterly it's been decided to leave them at their current price, remove the 0-2 limit (I think?) and move them into the "Allies" section of the army list so as to lessen the emphasis on War Engines and increase the emphasis on the Chaos Marines (the Black Legion list at least theoretically being a Chaos Marines army list!).

Faced with competing for the same points allocation as Feral Titans, I think the Feral Titans will probably take the lion's share of the selections in the future, because they are even better value for points, IMHO, than the Decimators.

Aye, I'm certainly up for the 33% selection for all war engines in the list.  My friend plays a troop based ground pounding BL list supported by decimators and it is a rather good combo though even he has a couple of ferals I think...
