Support Craft

Some units operate above the battlefield, below the airspace used by aircraft, but higher than standard skimmer levels and terrain features.

Support craft are skimmers, which for all line of sight and terrain purposes count as ‘popped up’ at all times. If the Support Craft has a transport option, it may embark and disembark units as normal, embarked units are allowed a save (see 1.7.5) if the Support Craft is destroyed.

Support Craft must always use their Skimmer ability to force a firefight in engagements and Infantry in base contact with a Support Craft may not use it to count as being in cover.

Well, i was trying to think up the scheme for my obiguard (hearthgaurds) and was wondering, what colour is CS skin? and for that matter, waht colour are malorks? (lighter green, darker green, purple..? ?)

I plan to have a big CS push at some point to get most of my stuff assembled by the end of the month. (but im also trying to assemble more catachans and ~6 companies of marines at the same time )

Not very interesting over the basic mini, but here are my mining laser armed grundbacks



Grundbakcs with multi-meltas from spare buggy parts, foot pads extended for increased stability while mining, eve-online inspired Miner IIs made from screws and gauss rifles.

Finally got some time to put this kit together.

I think I'll use it as an Ur Cannon (as I have another kit, I think 2 Ur Cannons will be quite useful? ).



In truth, it may be a bit large for an Ur Cannon but I definitely think it's too small for any of the other War Engines.
The kit is from Dragon. It's a 1:144 54cm Morser "Thor" PZ. Beob. Wg. III Ausf. H - LINK to an Ebay example.

Looks awesome and ideal. Id been trying to recreate a Moser carriage using epic parts with a Goliath cannon as the gun but without great successes

I got the kits for $11AUS each (from StanbridgesHobby Center, but I don't think they have anymore in stock). At that price they were too easy to buy and convert.

I've been trying to get the last few Iron Warrior minis finished so I can actually get stuck into my Squats.

Looking at that model, it would not be that hard to convert (says the man with minimal skill).

I may try to buy a set or two and try it out. It is an awesome model.

So much could be done with these models for the Kollosus. Just a little work to convert I would think.

At 14cm length for the first two, it may just work. It certrainly will next to the minis, not so sure on a table...







Best part is, you can buy the pieces separatly - like the dozer blades!

Hmm 2 Mörsers just arrived (chose cheapest delivery as well..impressive) and aside from being in dull grey unlike Onyx' sophisticated green, it is a tad larger than i expected, if the rules matched the model rather than the other way around, it would certainly have more DC.

Also it is the perfect size to take a cyclops hellfury cannon and would just about mount on khrone doomblaster tracks i think.
