Khorne is after all the god of death and murder. I'm sure a tac nuke formation could be khornite, never mind the odd cannon!

Gotta agree, you're always hearing about khornate artillery in the fluff so might as well represent in game. So I say leave hellfires as is, as even in a unit of 8 400pts isn't that big a deal (at least in my eyes) and maybe even add some decimators for more daemonic artillery goodness :devil:
I agree in making the zerkers the same as the BL list, for continuity and simplicitys sake
As for the blood rage/lust why not just make them initiative 1+ or even 2+ wtih a +1 modifier to engage/rally actions? So as to represent their craziness (though not to the same mindless degree as nids)if you want to encourage it or go like scarik said initiative 1+ and done.
As for the daemon assault engines I'd drop them to 600pts if we're going to keep them at 8 as 650 brings them into leman russ company territory and I know which one I'd take. Either that or make them 4-8 at 75pts each
Change rhino's upgrage to up to 4 rhinos at 10pts each (ala 1k sons)and make them bog standard rhino's
Make armoured companies between 4-8 pred's/land raiders and drop the CC4+ and then some points as well
and lastly change the support formations to either 2 or 3 per core as this is what most other lists use, 1:1 is just too restrictive

The Hell he is!

Kaela Mensha Khaine is god of murder, Khorne is just blood and more face to face violence.

It seems to me you really want your Zerkers to either be part of huge formations with Rhinos and Defilers and such or you want to Dreadclaw them down with Dreadnaughts or possessed.

That they don't have a shooting attack is rough, but hey its Khorne, they'll live. I also suspect that Berzerkers don't actually form the bulk of a World Eater's strength, but they instead rely on tanks and war machines in vast numbers because they know full well that once they smell or see blood they're gonna go spare.

I see the World Eaters as very much like an Ork Waaagh! Its a ponderous force that uses the cover of big guns to close in and crush the enemy with their bare hands and axes.

We may want to consider giving them a Reaper Autocannon in every other unit ala the IG, or perhaps totally revamp the formations.

I like the idea of only 1 support formation per core, but the cores need to be a little more upgradeable.

I wouldn't mind the Cannon formation dropping back to 4, but 8 would be too excessive IMO.

I think the World Eaters need to rob the Emperor's Children list for the Legionnaires formation.

Some of the boys have yet to succumb totally to their God's particular brand of madness after all, and if those vile Slaanesh worshipers can hold off than so can the righteous servants of the Blood God.

8 for 300 points perhaps?

From Apocalypse Realod:

-Slaughterfiend Bloodpack
3+ Slaughterfiends - these are Defilers with Furious Charge, WS 5, and four close combat weapons (for a total of 7 attacks). When they run, nearby Khorne Berzerker squads can grab hold and be carried along for the movement, and can still charge afterwards. The Slaughterfiends themselves run 2d6 picking the highest, with a double meaning that one of the Berzerkers being carried (if any) are crushed in the claws.


Would fit perfectly in this list :D

Khornate Baneblade, has the same Doomsday Reactor and Runes of the Blood God as the Brass Scorpion, has Daemonic Possession, and regains a lost structure point if it deals more than 25 shooting casualties in one turn. 1 Hull-mounted Balemaw Cannon (battlecannon with 60" range, Str 9 and 10" blast, Primary Weapon), 2 hull-mounted Skullreaper Cannons (R36", Str 6, AP3, Heavy 6), and 2 sponsons, each with a Doomfire Cannon (24", Str4, AP4, heavy 2, large blast) and a twin-linked Skullshredder (as Doomfire cannon, but heavy 5, no blast instead of heavy 2, large blast)

Didn't came up with stats for this yet.
Brass Scorpion should be in this army list too.

No, i see only Daemonic Assault Engines which are generic vehicle sized daemon engines of Khorne.
Brass Scorpions and Tower of Skulls are war engines.

Ok. I worked the Tower of Skulls through my Wh40k-to-Epic System and came up with a silly overgunned thing :D

Chaos Tower of Skulls (Daemon War Engine of Khorne)
Type Speed Armour Close Combat Firefight
WarEngine 15cm 4+ 4+ 4+

Weapon Range Firepower Notes
Balemaw Cannon 60cm 2 x AP4+/AT4+ Disrupt, Fixed Forward Arc
2 x Skullreaper Cannon 30cm 2 x AP5+/AT6+ -
2 x Doomfire Cannon 15cm 2 x AP6+ -
2 x Twin Skullshredder 15cm AP5+ -

Damage Capacity 3. Critical Hit Effect: The Tower of Skulls' reactor explodes. The Tower of Skulls is destroyed and any units within 5cm of the model suffer a hit on a D6 roll of 6. If the Tower of Skulls looses his last point of Damage Capacity it automatically receives a critical hit.

Well with all those weapons which either have large templates or a silly rate of fire the ToS perhabs deserves a FF value of 3+?
