Pretty simple, post your Chaos Black Legion list(s). State whether it's a "fun" list (i.e. one based on background or model considerations) or a "competitive" list (i.e. one based entirely on maximising the hell out of the list) or whether it's a mixture.

I tend to go with

300 Feral

300 Feral

225 Decimator

225 Decimator

260 Terminators (deep strike and bts)
075 Oblitorator
075 Oblitorator
050 Demon Prince

260 Terminators

275 Chaos marines and SC (blitz guard and free sc)
075 Oblitorator

300 Bikes

140 Raptors

125 Forlorn Hope (teleport shield)

This is because I lack the mental ability to use demons and just use the army like a harder hitting marine warhound army. All about timing really. As long as the enemy doesn't get to pick on formations you are fine and with any luck with objective placement you can split them up.

Ouch Chris that's a nasty list.

This is what I have been playing around with:

1 BL Retinue + Obliterator + Defilers (3) 575
2 BL Retinue + Havocs & Rhinos 485
3 Chosen (6) Replace 1 Unit with Daemon Prince + Obliterators (2) 590 (BTS)
4 Raptor (6) 210
5 Falorn Hope + Rhinos ?145
6 Falorn Hope + Rhinos ?145
7 CSM Bikes 300
8 Death Wheel 275
9 Death Wheel 275

I don't normally power-jock the list.  I like to play it as area-denial and I'm an infantry guy.  This is something like a typical list I had been playing:
================

Retinue + Noise Marines (forward garrison)
Retinue + Havocs (garrison)
Retinue + SC + Rhinos + Pact
Raptors (8) + Pact
Chosen (4) + 2 Obliterators + DP
Feral
Fighters
10 LDs
~2600 points.

+ Forlorn Hope + Rhinos + Pact
+ 2 LDs
~2800 points

Spare points can be used to put an Obliterator in one or both garrisons, more Termies to the Chosen or add summoning kit.

My basic tactics are to garrison as much as possible using the scouts to disrupt the enemy movement. The ferals harrass any approaching units giving the retinues and raptors time to move forward. Then they launch daemon-assisted assaults supported by the ferals

Thats what I'll be using at the CC except the Daemon Prince(with wings) is going with the rhino retinue

I have debated losing the Chosen as against anybody but Guard it is too risky teleporting - they often garrison now.
Its also difficult to maintain flak coverage with only 3 Oblits - the game against Ginger this was mitigated as he forced me to play corners

Ive used this before and enjoyed it:

1 Black Legion Retinue + Rhinos 315
2 Black Legion Retinue + Rhinos 315
3 6 Land Raiders                         450
4 3 Deathwheels                         825
5 Folorn Hope                              125
6 Folorn Hope                              125
7 4 Chosen                                  260
8 8 Raptors                                  280
9 6 Predators                               300

Other lists have replaced the deathwheels and predators with another formation of chosen, a ravager and some flyers using the new experimental stats (perhaps losing a raptor as well, I dont remember)

Ive only tried footbound retinues/obliterators once, and didnt like it. That was the only game Ive managed to use my modelled obliterators!
