Hi all,
today I received my latest Andrayad order:
1 Varan blister - robo dinos!
1 Varkator blister - bombers (and very nice ones too...)
1 Vultur blister - 40 flying Andrayads!
1 Vertex dropship box - 's big!

I alsogot a pair of Kray Rakkat riders - couldn't resist those big lizzies!

Anyway, together with the older stuff I'd bought, an army is being created. And here's a diary of sorts. Including my first Andy conversion, possibly

Cheers all. Pics will follow, but don't wait up.  :blues:

Can't wait to see them.  If Heritage Studios doesn't have the Command Horizon stuff by the time I get the next disbursement of my miniatures allowance I'll be picking up some Andrayada minis myself.

Hi all,
well, I managed to complete the Vertex drop ship at least. A nice model, with side walls which can be left to swing open if you wish - and anyone with a spot of talent can place a few Andrayad troops inside for effect.
I sacrificed their opening action, however, for a conversion - my first in the dark realm of the Andrayads. Yep, here we go again...  :p
I added a pair of wings to the big beastie - so the two long straight thingies with serrated leading edges are not included with the model. I found mine in a road near where I live - several small circuit boards someone had dropped. I didn't have to modify them at all.  :D

Next pic - a plan view. Thanks go to the Polar Warrior SMs for providing a size-guide Rhino. :p
In my view of this, the wings I added are folded away during reentry - which is achived with the large armoured back facing down and acting as a heat shield. When a lower altitude is reached, the Vertex rotates the right way up, spreads its wings, and lands.

Last pic - a front view of this large, menacing thingie.
The model comes in a solid box, and is very well packaged. A flying base, which I didn;t use, is included.

Very nice.  I really like the mottled effect on the red.  If seen out of context I'd think it was a Reaver ship from Firefly.

Yes.

I just asked this question over at the 6mm-Minis Yahoo E-group...

You have several options:

- Christmas ornament...

- Model Magic mini...

There was a resin cast that was exquisite, but it's now OOP.

You can still find the other two.

There was talk about it here as well. I don't remember exactly where in the forums here though.

If you can't find URLs for the othe two, let me know and I'll help out.

Shalom,
Maksim-Smelchak.

Hi MBR,

Yes, that's the ornament.

You can find it for a better price elsewhere though... pricey there.

Shalom,
Maksim-Smelchak.
