Hey everyone,

I'm debating a few different tanks to use as Leman Russ proxies and the Tiger and Cruiser are two options. I am not sure of the size, though; does anyone have some comparison pics with a few GW minis that they could provide? L4, I am looking in your direction.... :p

Thanks in advance.

Chris

The Tiger & Cruiser are much too small ... Here's an old pic of a Chasseur next to one of my Russes ... a much better choice ... IMO  Or Bastion, Mammoth or even Rampart, could work for a Russ.  The Tiger & Cruiser are about the size of a Rhino.

Indeed, the Tiger and Cruiser are really too small for the task unfortunately. I've finally re-uploaded my original comparison pics from a couple of years ago to the DRM Forum, and I've attached a copy of the Pax one here. Tiger and cruiser are in the top right, the Chasseur which L4 posted Comparison shots of is bottom left

I should also point out that these photos are really quite old - the ranges are much bigger (in terms of numbers of models of course..) now!

Thanks fellows. I actually have 2 chasseurs and they are great. They seem to have been drafted by my Battletech forces, though, so I was looking to expand my horizons.  :p You are right about the size of the Tiger and Cruiser, though; I will get some, but they can be light Battletech tanks.

Edit: Is that a rampart to the right of the Chasseur?

Thanks again.

Chris

OOOPS I´m late:

From left to to right: Cruiser, Leman Russ, Tiger, Bastion.

Yes, Tiger and Cruiser are too small (I use the cruisers as Chimeras), and I strongly recommend the Mamoth as proxy for Leman Russ or any heavy MBT.

Cheers

Your lordship and L4 - those are perfect, thank you! I don't know what I will use (or maybe the new tanks from EW) but I will definitely be picking up packs of most of those for use in other games. The chasseurs are excellent.

Oh ... you flatter me Sir !!  :;):      I've got a pack or 2 of all of DRM & E/Ws AFV, Grunts etc.  I'm in the process of organizing them on SM1 IG TO&Es/Templates ...  Like the rest of my IG. I'll be able to add 2 more Rgts to my IG forces with DRM & E/W models.  TF Darkness & TF Exodus, respectively ...      Can't wait to add E/W's new SHTs to my Force ...   :)

I use Tigers as Chimera/Salamander proxies. The small light nature is *perfect* for a recon tank. Add some antennas from brush thistles, and its the perfect light recon tank.
