Hi!


Though there may not be a place for a Necron air force in AI, that doesn't mean we can't have a little fun with the likes of Monoliths and Pylons...

For starters, one could run a scenario based around drawing the Pylons defending a particular tomb complex into the open, smacking with with your heavier bombers, then dropping in via Manta/Orca/Vampire/Thunderhawk/etc onto the complex itself.

That's only one possibility - anyone see others?

Sure, how about bombing a Necron Crypt complex while the bots are still dormant, and only marginally protected?

I am not entirely sure that the Necrons would not have a Fighter-Bomber size aircraft to fight off the living air forces.  I do not think they are used in BFG for a variety of reasons among them never found a need for them before, but a single kind of Fighter-Bomber I think would make sense.  Kind of along the lines of the aircraft in Stargate and someone has already made  cool mini.

Granted they would either be powerful or weak and lots of them.

I was thinking of the gliders from star gate (or where you thinking of the larger craft they use?).

As for using the plons, they could make a great neutral party in a sernario.

Two parties fighting over some desert world (read tomb world).  Their noisy battles awaken the sleepers.

You would have your ususal aircraft class over nomans land (air?) either a fighter vs fighter brawl or a bomber intercept, then all of a sudden pylons pop up out of no where and start shooting the closest aircraft.

Yes the gliders.  I think a single aircraft for necrons is just as possible as a Tyranid air swarm - no offense.

So the Necron list would be Pylons and a single Fighter-Bomber

No offense taken.  I'm looking forwards to a toaster airlist.

My suggestion for just using pylons was as a sernario idea.
