The physiology is somewhat different, but they are definately short, stunted humanoids with an aptitude for technology!

Mind you, is their an official defination for a Space Dwarves physiology?

Well the models look absolutely stunning no matter what so we won't argue the height of the stunties!

Great line so far Tom.

I like the boss' cigar.

EDIT: did anybody else think "scarab proxy!" when they saw the kamikaze droids in the topmost pic?  :)

I think we're in proxy heaven with these miniatures, ha!

I do think Naismith has excelled himself with these.  They're all superb. :D

I think I'll be getting some of the Legionaire infantry, definitely - I'll wait and see what the vehicles look like before deciding whether to invest in entire armies for this system for the time being.  Although I like the sound of having loads of formations of robots...

Quick question: any plans for any terrain sets, a la DRM?

In answer to peoples questions:

- Scarabs never occured to me, i'm not massively up on the Necron fluff, do they hover too?

- Bob certainly did, though my favourites are yet to come, the bikers look awesome :).

- To those who like the Prefects, we have some 'counts as' Riot control Prefects sculpted with stun batons instead of swords, for the less extreme crowd control and some Prefect snipers.

- No current plans for terrain sets, although we'll always listen to requests. If it fits into our development plans  or we can wedge it in then we'll do it, if we can't, well we'll probably try anyway then hide the evidence of our abject failure.

I never implied they are a copy of Scarabs. I just spotted an immediate extra use for them considering the amount of custom Necron armies people have put out recently.

But yes, Scarabs do fly.  :)

Cool, I had another non kamikaze thought regarding them the other day, they look like little hover cameras that fly round and snoop on people.

Maybe we could find a use for a modified version in the prefect ranks, that'd be awesome!

I agree, the Khazari look suspiciously like Squats er.... Space Dwarves.    The other minis are very nice, too.
