Don Carr from Onslaught Miniatures has continued his excellent work and created the Battle Squire. This is the Royal Empires equivalent of a Main Battle Tank. It is heavily armed and armoured and comes with a whole host of extra weapons on the sprue.

Some of the eagle eyed among you may have spotted this vehicle in the Exodus Wars computer game Fractured Empire by Membraine Studios.

It's also the first design that has come from Exodus Wars: Fractured Empire and been converted to model form.

The original design was done by Glenn Osmond McLeod of Membraine Studios. We'd spec'ed out some statistics for a Squire but hadn't gotten one as sculpted in time for the last major software update. Glenn stepped in and managed to do the first incarnation of the Battle Squire.

The original hookbill head currently in Fractured Empire (and loosely based on Jon Horshams Marcovian Large Behemoth Head) is being sculpted as well so you'll be able to get models that are almost identical to those in the virtual game.

In the "standard" pose, (like the one in the middle) the model stands 24mm high from bottom of foot to tip of the back carapace.

We'll be fast tracking the release as we want the Royal Empire Marcovian range to be complete to go with the new rulebook.

We'll keep you updated as it progresses.

This brings a little tear of joy to my eye. Am I right that this is a design by Membraine, realised by Onslaught and produced by EW?

This is exactly the kind of thing that I love, and its really great to see. Its also a relief to see its a cracking mini, too! :D

Oh yes, it's three 6mm companies based on TacComms working (with Warmaster Nice) together in beautiful synergy.
