Hi guys,

Does anybody know how the Achilles MBT turret stacks up againsta  stomrhammer turret?

I've got a squadron of 3 lacking most of their turrets so I was planning on replacing the main ones with these and the smaller ones with the ones from the Urban Pacification Squadron.

The MBT turret is very similar in size to the Stormhammer turret but a bit flatter and obviously single barrelled. The Enforcer secondary turrets are perfect size as sponson proxies. I can do a quick mockup tomorrow to give you a better impression of the relative sizes.

The enforcers are already on their way but I got too heady with joy about getting my hands on edenites that I forgot to buy the MBT turrets. Oh well I guess I'll just have to go back and buy some more, of course I'd need to spend more to make the shipping wirht it  

Cheers Warmaster Nice. I think that'd be useful. The other thing I was playing around with was using pred turrets for a kind of stormhammer anhilator twist, looks pretty bad ass, if a little on the small side.

That's a great idea. I'll dig out the appropriate models in a sec. Off the top of my head the only problem that might arise with the Guild tank turret is that it has right angled corners at the back. It could be a small problem for the front Stormhammer turret but  guess we'll have to see. The nice bit is that the more detailed turrets of the Guild MBT or the Predator is that it adds some texture to the otherwise slightly "flat" Stormhammer. It would be tempting to add some armor skirts and some rivets to the hull to really tie the model together.

Here we go: They actually fit quite well. If you wanted a shorter turret you could quite easily remove the areas marked in red. The front bit probably needs to be removed anyway if you want two barrels.
And an E40k Imperial guard tank tatch in front of the rear turret and maybe a little radio thingy from a few bits of plasticard behind the frint turret and I think it would be a pretty cool model actually.

I'll definitely be doing that then, looks great!

Will just need to drop the long barrel and replace with a shorter twin version.

Will have to get some when the next batch of edenites are released.
