I have an official proclamation: I am in love. This morning a small brown parcel arrived at my doorstep. When I opened it I realized that I am in love with Bob Naismith. No, seriously: I want to have his babies to ensure the continuation of his genepool. The man is a genious! ![]() More specifically I got my first glimpse of some of the new EW miniatures: Bounty Hunters, Tarragin, Gurdan, Khazari mining machine etc. Of course I may be biased but seriously: They rock big time! I'm particularly impressed by the mounted Bounty Hunter: Awsome detail with the stowage and I really like the overall pose of the model. I'll post some better pics once the miniatures have been undercoated but right now I was just so excited I had to share a few piccies. |

IIRC someone requested a side view of the Gurdan Warriors so here they are along with some comparison shots next to the Tarragin. I'lve added a Bounty hunter to the far right for size comparison. As you can see the miniatures are quite large (about 1 cm for the Tarragin) but they're supposed to be big brutish beasties so they should look mighty imposing on the battlefield. |

Finally the Khazari Mining Machine and the Assault Pods. The Pods come with a small turret but in interchangable with the small turrets from the other EW minis. The combo with the Khazari Shield Emitter might be an interesting proxy for Necron fans or at least the starting point for some easy conversions. I've ben looking into easy ways of converting these into deployed pods. Although the come with a hollow core sawing off the doors looks extremely tricky so my guess is that the simplest solution is to simply file off the doord and paint them black. Then make open ramps from plasticard. |

Unfortunately I already glued them together. However I might have a pic of an early green somewhere on my HD. Give me a moment and I'll see if I can dig it out. The machine comes with a main body, the tunneller and four legs. |

Just another quick idea that occured to me: Using a Deathstrike you could also proxy a Mole Mk2 (Alright might need some more tinkering but you get the general idea ![]() |

Dammit I had to go and look at this post didn't I...... now I want some of the bounty hunter minis. I seriously have to resist though as I have been spending a little too much lately and the director of accounting is starting to get a little bit upset, and I definitely don't want her to be upset. There are just too many good miniatures out there and I just have to like way too many of them. Why couldn't I have been born as one of those sorts of people that only likes space marines or only eldar or something, it would have been a lot cheaper. |

Hehe, yeah, the mounted BH in particular makes me seriously want to consider building an Eldar Exodite force of sorts. To Van: This is the best pic I could find. Hope it gives some impression of how the beastie is put together. It might be slightly on the large side for a defiler (rough guesstimate would say something like 5 cm between the front legs) but certainly better than nothing. |

(Otterman @ Oct. 20 2007,16:47) QUOTE Better get to cracking on that Bob Naismith babies. I have heard that male-to-male fertilization is problematic. Well if Arnold Schwarzenegger could do it then, by god, so can I ![]() |
