Well I'm about to paint up the EW Zombies I thought I'd just post a bic of the undercoated models before I screw them up Seriously: I think Bob outdid himself with these. So much wonderfull detail that didn't show up well on the pics of the greens. I was very pleasantly surprised when I'd sprayed them. As a side note I realised (well rather obvious I suppose) that they'd also make excellent corpses for bases and dioramas if you remove the miniatures form the bases. I just might use a few spares this way |

Seeing a bunch of them together, you really get the feel of a shambling horde of Zombies. |

These are really, really nice. I can just see whole armies of LaTD consisting purely of little girls with their bears... |

Hehe. Yeah. The girl with the teddy bear is possibly the single most disturbing 6mm scale miniature I've ever seen |

They're quite a nice family group, in fact - mum, dad, sis and bro, and Michael Jackson doing the Thriller video. |

As the father of a (real) little girl, surprisingly disturbing to me. I will give mine away to one of you guys. |

I am actually glad that you guys have been so disturbed by the image, it shows the quality of the sculpting and conceptial art that such a horrific race is able to be so emotive. I think a vital concept in horror is being able to recognise the humanity in monsters, big gribblies are cool, but they don't scare me. A human that's been twisted by forces out of his control is a terrifying concept for me. It implies that the same thing could happen to me (and my teddy bear). |
