One specific of the S-tank that would seem likely to carry over into a well-designed SPgun -- as I understanding it, efforts to maximizing gun depression would likely push the gun's fulcrum toward the top and rear of the vehicle.

Guys, whilst I appreciate the commentary and design input of everyone,
WHEN are we getting these.

I know I might seem a pushy here, but the initial designs have fired my imagination in a way I have not encountered since the first time I saw a Land Raider.

WHERE ARE THEY?

*sobs in quiet desperation*

MBT

The 3D design is complete
The initial print is complete
Modifications to the 3D design is complete
The primary print is complete
The master mould is complete
The master castings are complete
The production moulds are complete

Currently our caster is making them by the bucketload, his desk looks like the Battle of Kursk with chassis's and formed up in orderly piles. These have been promised to be sent to our packers in Hemel by the beginning of next week (and a few to me in London, and some to WMN for painting), then when WMN displays the painted models on here... they'll be open for sale :D.

We have three other variants in the initial print stage.

Correction, four other variants (MRL, SPA, SPAAG, mortar) are in plastic prototype phase. I will start molding them for resin prototypes tonight.

Before that I will cast an MBT chassis to see how they 'ride'.

My initial impression is that the MRL is comparitively large, and the mortar small. Impressions are subject to change, please await actual evidence.

Geez man, you work too fast. At this rate people will be getting there vehicles way too fast :D. The usual plan is that WMN drops a hint, then we tease the general populace for a good few months then finally we unleash the goods :D.

At this rate you'll be an international hero :)!

Anyway - looking forward to seeing them 'in the blue'.

depends on whether you fire downhill by depressing the gun, or by depressing the chassis.  My understanding is that the S-tank 'depressed' the whole chassis, while presumably the stug depressed the gun.

The latter is workable, but not optimal -- the Stug seems to have a high profile relative to the S-tank. (and the wwii german approach to survivability was to slap more armor on).

Variations on a theme...

Incidentally, none of these make me happy.

Yeah but the s tank is far too tech for 40k :)

True 'dat.  But we are at least pretending that this is a Guild MBT from Exodus wars, not a knock-off 40k vehicle.

I just got into 6mm gaming.  I have begun playing Epic, and have been eyeing many of the different manufacturer's lines so I can custom-build my Imperial Guard army.

I was at EW's site checking out some of their products, and for some reason I clicked on the Forums link.  Then I found this.

In short:

HURRY UP!!!  This is the tank I have been waiting for, with variants and cool looks and everything!  I was about to make some purchases, but now I need these tanks!

ARRRGH!  :)
