the eddenites really need another heavy weapon skeleton option, a guy with one arm thats a bg heavy single barreled gun, but similar enough to the regular infantry weapon. the second arm should remain free and unattached to the weapon, and maybe some extra optics or somthing. the lower half of such a hypethetical figure i dont care about for some reason.  :whistle:

Maybe make the lower half more of a fantasy figure... HEY! Why not make the heavy weapon guy growing out of a large beetle? Now that would be different!  :laugh:

Well good to know Tom is still alive ...  :)   If he joins a "Buddhist Monestary" or runs off into the jungle with an Indian Princess, or something, WMN will you take over ?    :rock:  :laugh:  :cool:

There's only one, sure-fire cure for that.

Will we be seeing any new Edenite troops soon Warmaster? Maybe some heavy torsos on a tracked unit? Say one with a big gun, one with a bigger gun, and one with claws?

Or perhaps some kind of tank with metallic tentacles of death (with the tentacles being available for bit order, of course). Tentacles that looks something like those from Hasslefree's Jotun weapon options:

Well ... looks like WMN is working on Eden Assualt Troops, and there are 3 SHTs in the works, 1 or 2 Eden AFVs + the updated Mk.II Gunship ...   Did I miss any thing ? :)

Exams has kept me from doing much work on the Jump Pack Edenites for the past couple of weeks, but I plan to have them ready to send to Tom as soon as he returns on the 22nd.

Like O-man said 3d work has been on pause untill he has finished his Dreadnought spaceship. Once that is done we'll begin work on a small Edenite Walker that will have a couple of different weapon options. It is also the idea that this machine will have a bigger brother, probably with some kind of tracks instead of legs. Weapons for the small walker include chainsaw, gatling gun, single barreled gun and flamer. Doing a flail of sorts sounds interesting but at this scale castin may put some limitations to this as it is tricky to get reliable casts of long objects below 1mm in diameter - especially if they're 3d designed and needs to be bronzed first.

The focus has been around fleshing out the concept of the Edenites. The basic idea is that Eden Pharmaceuticals and Eden Cybernetics are branches of a weapons development program originally commissioned by the Guild, to build a "super soldier", with the end result being the Myrmidon Exo-armor suit. Obviously some of these projects went terribly wrong, but you'll find recognizable pieces of Guild equipment within the Edenite ranks. The walkers will be mobile weapons platorms later downsized and incorporated into the Myrmidon suit. The skeletons would be a side branch further attempting to fuse soldier and suit, but ultimately unsuccessful. Exactly why the Eden Corporation broke with the Guild remains a bit unclear for the time being.

The idea is that once we're ready with the new race we've been working on, the old Myrmidon will probably get a resculpt to look a bit less like the Michelin-man, but more bulky and "armored" and tieing in with the graeco-roman theme of the Guild. The shape of this suit will have some design features that will also be recognizable in the Edenite walker, to illustrate that they're part of the same development program. Oh, and there will probably be a corrupted Edenite version of the Myrmidon suit as well, that might prove useful. ;)

Myrmidon and Edenite Myrmidon will probably still be a bit off in the future as the infantry design for the new race needs to be completed. This is due to some practical concerns with ordering the sculpts from Bob Naismith.

Finally a list of stuff to do for the new race is being compiled. Without revealing too much, this race will consist of both very high tech and fairly low tech elements. However I can't say exactly when further info will become available, nor when any miniatures are ready.

I like the idea of a transport option for the Valkyrie. I think it might be possible to make some kind of transport pod to fit benearth the body. This should be both fairly simple and inexpensive to do.
As for the snakes, beetles and further skeletons with guns: For the time being there's no plans to make something like that. I'll keep it in mind though, and see if some of the things suggested could be incorporated somehow, but I can't promise anything.  :smile:
