I'm not sure an exact date can be given just yet. Otterman is casting up some resin copies of the assault gun prototype for review. They should be en route to me and Tom soon. Then we'll probably making some final adjustments before the Bronze master is made and production moulds are produced. After stock has been cast up I'll be sent a few copies to paint up and photograph for the online store. A cautious guess would be that the last Guild MBT turret variants are ready mid September or possibly the beginning of October.

The new Enforcer still needs some work, but if we don't run into any significant problems I think the first prototype could be ready by September. I'm guessing (and it is just a guess) that it'll be ready for release in October or November (most likely November) but definitely before Christmas.

Just a little teaser to show that Otterman is already working his magic on this project.
I remember some people felt that the old Enforcer lacked a bit of detail on the tracks. I hope you'll agree that Otterman has done a lot to adress this problem :)

Still very WIP of course but I just thought I'd share my excitement when I found this pic in the mailbox

Looks Frakk'n great !!  :agree:  :))  I'll have to put side skirts on my Mk.1 Enforcer hulls ...   8v)

So whats the plan ?  Re-release Enforcer hull with detailed tracks & road wheels ...  Plus new main turret(s) ?

Yeah. That's pretty much it. Originally Tom wanted some kind of a twin barreled version of the Enforcer. As work progressed on the MBT it seemed like a good opportunity to update the Enforcer as a whole.

We should definitely see: Enforcer hull + single barrel gun turret + twin barreled "Exterminator" turret. I still need confirmation from Tom that we'll be updating the secondary turrets as well, but that would definitely make the redesign a bit easier. Also being discussed is some turret "plugs" that can be added to the turret sockets instead of real turrets. These will work a bit like the E40k hatch spure and give people who don't want an Enforcer with 4 secondary turrets options for a bit of variation. Finally the IFv variant of the MBT originally had some side sponsons but we ditched those for the time being. These just might be released as an acessory as well and will fit the side shirts of the Enforcer hull for even more variety (and some interesting proxy possibilities as well :;): )

Here's an update from the amphibious evil genious himself: beginning work on the central body section.

Ah I see !  Very Nice !!  So New hull + new twin barrelled main turret ... possibly new smaller turrets ...  That sounds like a good deal !   :agree:   Making a sponson(s) is a good idea too.  Could even be used on the Enforcer Mk.1 ?    And glad to hear the Amphtrack is coming along !   :agree:   So I'll be looking forward to all this stuff.  Still have to design some side skirts for my E Mk.1s ...  :))

I've just goofed around in photoshop with the latest pics from Otterman to explain how the modular secondary weapon systems could work.

Top left is with the traditional 4xturret setup found on the current Enforcer. The others are versions with the front turrets "plugged" and an option with the IFV side sponsons mounted beneath the rear turrets.

The turret plugs could contain hatches, targeting equipment. bits of stowage, searchlights or similar goodies, that would be usefull in any bits box.

Bits box good!
Incidentally any way to cross use the gongonzola side turret with it, so the 2 guns each covering 90 degrees look? Would be an interesting stand in for certain gw vehicles that have twin side turrets.

I can't remember how Otterman constructed the gorgonzola side sponsons, but as long as there's no pegs getting in the way there shouldn't be any problem if anyone wants to add them. It'd be a very simple conversion for sure.

Speaking of proxy potential, it seemed like a good idea to make another turret variant for this tank. This time some kind of huge anti armor weapon to knock those pesky Droid Controllers out of the sky. I made a tank hunter variant based on the old Enforcer model for the 2007 EpiComp. Obviously we can't remake that model but the question is if there's any interest in incorporating elemens of the old design into the new one seen below?

The new version would replace some of the turrets with the "plugs" we discussed earlier for a sleeker look. Also the gun could be changed to something more techy looking.
Coments? Suggestions?

Bluh, I don't have the Enforcer model here at home. The Gorgonzola side sponsons do have a rectangular peg, but that could be clipped/filed off.

Ah yeah. Perhaps I should have been clearer. The sketch has the standard Enforcer, which is currently being worked on, at the bottom. The proposed third "titan-killer" turret is the upper sketch. What Tom and I were discussing was just werther to add any elements from the 2007 EpiComp kitbash to that third turret or we should go for the complete redesign as seen in the sketch. I prefer the complete redesign myself, but question is if that overall shape is the route to pursue, or if anyone would rather see something like the old model.

Sounds good to me :D Maybe some cooling vents, relays or pressure tanks as the rear part of the turret near the engines and some tubes going up to the barel and some techy-looking doowhats on the barel itself.
