So I'm working up a list for my first full playtest game of the Death Korps list. Here goes: Companies: Supreme Commander Company - 450 (Defensive Company) 3x Thudd Guns - 100 3x Rapiers - 100 Infantry Company - 350 (Aggressive Company) 3x Hellhounds - 150 2x Gorgons - 150 Death Rider Company - 250 Support Formations: 6x Leman Russ (Four Standard & Two Destroyers) - 420 2x Manticores & 1x Hydra - 200 2x Manticores & 1x Hydra - 200 3x Medusas - 250 1x Stormblade - 175 2x Deathstrikes - 200 Total: 2995 I've taken as many of the experimental options as I could resonably try out... It's weak on AT power (Though that's an inherent feature of the DK list anyway), but have moderate artillery support and potentially has the Engagement power to crack the Earth's crust. My intended tactic is to hold a defensive position (Possibly garrisoned) with the SC company, while the Gorgons & Leman Russ Tanks go on the assault behind a crawling barrage from the platform formations. Deathstrikes will obviously do the usual, while the Medusas & Stormblade are there to clear stubborn opposition out of their foxholes. What'cha think? |
