I know the Imperial Guard has had Landing Craft and other planetfalling transports brought up numerous times. The Pegasus and that soon-to-be-released Forgeworld troop carrier (can't remember what it's called) are two of them.
Anyone have any stats written up on them? Ideas on how big the models should be? Descriptions?

There has been a few drawings and an article about IG landers.
When I get home tonight I will have to post one of my favorite drawings.

From the fairly early playtesting: COLOSSUS (Armageddon Pattern)
<<< The Colossus is a large Imperial Guard orbital lander, designed to land Imperial Guard troops on hot landing zones. It is well armoured, but although similar in size to the Capitol Imperialis the need to minimise its weight means it is not nearly as sturdily built. >>>
Type Speed Armour Close Combat Firefight War Engine Aircraft (bomber) 6+ 6+ 5+
Weapons: 4 x Twin Lascannon Turrets, 4 x Twin Multilaser Turrets
Weapon Range Firepower Twin Lascannon 45cm AT4+ Twin Multilaser 30cm AP4+/AT5+/AA6+
Notes: Damage Capacity 4. Transport (may carry up to twenty of the following units: Imperial Guard units: Supreme Commander, Commander, Infantry, Storm Troopers, Fire Support, Snipers, Ogryns, Sentinels; plus up to three of the following units: Leman Russ, Vanquisher, Demolisher, Griffon, Hellhound). Reinforced Armour. Thick rear armour. Immune to panic.
Critical Damage: Power conduits damaged, only six turrets may be fired from now on (attackers choice as to which) . Further critical hits cause an extra point of damage instead. |
"Immune to Panic" became Fearless. IIRC, it was 250-300 points or so.

Now thats what I call productive use of company time Semajnollissor.
Seriously though... I like the concept. Nice and angular like an Imperial ship should be.

Quote (semajnollissor @ 31 May 2006 (07:30)) | Here's a sketch I did at work one day (while not actually working). The style is supposed to be a cross between a T-hawk and an Imperial transport from BFG. So you know, each of the bays should be able to carry a Reaver. Each of the ghosted boxes in the silouette is supposed to be about the size of a tank. | Nice, very nice. I like the way it ties in with the overall lok of existing minis and yet keeps a unique edge too.
Well done.

Quote (Dwarf Supreme @ 31 May 2006 (06:11)) | I like it, dafrca. ? | Came from one of the GW magazines, can't remember which at the moment. But it had an article with it as well.
If anyone knows the referance, please sound off.
