Post subject:  Proxy for Imperial dropship

I've been looking everywhere for proxy for an imperial dropship because I can't see me getting my hands on even one of the old ones sadly though I'd dearly love to. Anyhow I dropped into a site called Brigade miniatures the site looked old and I wasn't sure if it was still going but I saw these beauties and thought I'd give em a try...

What do folk think? There a little out of scale but them most of the bigger models are in epic.

The only think I don't like is the completely flat bottoms not even armour plating doesn't look terribly professional.

Never seen that before. Could work.

I know some people use the Old Crow dropships.

I personally am partial to the drop ship fromDRM (sans silly tail fins :) )

Hmm that model looks a bit flat to me, especially if you are imagining troops in it.

Dark Realm actually make two Pax Arcadian shuttles... the one Jimmy mentioned which is better with fins left off or repositioned IMHO.

And the Hyperion Transport, which judging by weight (0.14kg) is actually slightly chunkier than the above (0.12kg):

There's a comparison shot of those two and while heavier, the hyperion is far smaller

Ah ok, do you have a link to the comparison Jimmy?? I've been wondering about relative size.

Image ;D Don't have a comp pic ... but you can get an idea by the flight base size ... and yes, I did a little conversion work ... ;D Image The original DRM Dropship is wider than the later designed Hyperion ... figure the old style flight base is about a big as a Rhino ... The weight difference, both the Hyperion and Mk.1 D/S have a solid hull ... but the Hyper is a little thicker ...
