Here's the list I'm thinking about running:
Incompertus, 3000 POINTS Minervan Tank Legion (NetEA Tournament Pack 2013) ==================================================
TANK COMPANY [775] Supreme Commander, Flak Support (Hydra), 10 Leman Russ
TANK COMPANY [675] 10 Leman Russ, Flak Support (Hydra)
ARTILLERY BATTERY [250] 3 Basilisks
ARTILLERY BATTERY [250] 3 Basilisks
FLAK BATTERY [150] 3 Hydra
FLAK BATTERY [150] 3 Hydra
SALAMANDER SCOUT PLATOON [100] 3 Salamanders
SALAMANDER SCOUT PLATOON [100] 3 Salamanders
SUPER-HEAVY TANK COMPANY [550] Baneblade, Flak Support (Hydra), 2 Shadowsword
My overall plan would be to place the Artillery far apart, forming two defensive positions. The one placed close to my Blitz would have a flak battery and scouts protecting it. The other one would have the same protection with the Super Heavy parked closed by. I'd be hoping to force a hard choice about which one to focus on.
With the Scouts I can screen them from teleporters and the flak batteries should discourage air attack. Both Scouts and Flak will be able to move up late game to grab or contest objectives if required.
The LR would be placed towards the centre, able to move forward, supporting each other. I'd be looking to separate them enough initially so that an early strike (termies) on either one would be able to be to be counter-attacked with a tank company, wiping it out. My objectives would be placed in a nice movement line to allow the two companies to advance, with the Scouts and Flak moving in to secure them once the tanks have moved on.
Thoughts and suggestions?

That seems like a lot of 3-unit formations there. I would also fit in a t-bolt FM, but perhaps add some command salamanders to beef up your scouts as well. Also for the superheavies, I recommend going for all shadowswords. That way you max your TK shots. That's personal preference though.

I think the Baneblade is there to give some FF support, JIC. However easier done with a scout screen (if this was SL I'd suggest ogryns myself). I prefer shadowswords as detachments vs whole companies myself unless you're going up against titan legions or gargant big mobs as you just end up with three really dead stands at best per attack and usually that's not enough to justify points.

Yes, but it is the two support formations per one core formation that is the haunt of this list. It will be necessary for this list to get three core formations. This will places for support. To achieve this, IMO you have to take LR-Coys or SHeavys. Arty Comp is out of question at 3k. That limits you very much IMO.
For the list:
Drop one Scout and one Flak Formation to get T-Bolts. Also you can think of other versions of LR. I usally run this combat team together:
Minervan Tank Legion / Minervan Tank Legion 1300
Tank Company 725 Armoured Regiment Commissar 8xLeman Russ 2xLeman Russ Vanquisher Hydra Amphibious
Tank Company 575 Armoured Regiment Commissar 10xLeman Russ Exterminator Hydra Amphibious
Alternative to the Exterminators would be Demolishers and to a lesser extent, Thunderers.

Yeah Koshi. That's exactly the restriction I am trying to get my head around.
I think I might try to do Steel Legions instead. That way I can take two Warhounds without needing more companies....

Here's what I run:
Minervan Tank Legion (NetEA Tournament Pack 2013) ==================================================
TANK COMPANY [800] Supreme Commander, Flak Support (Hydra), 9 Leman Russ, Vanquisher
SUPER-HEAVY TANK COMPANY [550] 3 Baneblade, Flak Support (Hydra)
SUPER-HEAVY TANK COMPANY [500] 3 Stormhammer
ARTILLERY BATTERY [250] 3 Manticores
ARTILLERY BATTERY [250] 3 Manticores
SALAMANDER SCOUT PLATOON [100] 3 Salamanders
TANK PLATOON [350] Demolisher, 5 Exterminator
SUPER-HEAVY TANK PLATOON [200] Shadowsword
Combat teams of the two SHT companies, the Armored Company and Tank Platoon, and the Artillery Batteries and Sallies. It's short on air power, and still a bit short on AA(I ended up trading a Vanq for a second Hydra over what I last ran it as), but it works well.
I still want to try a Superheavy Regiment sometime...
