What are these used for now anything? Would the elyssians possibly use them as drop cycles for scouting and to be used as roughriders?

I would say Rough Riders proxy is the most common use for them nowadays.

there is a fanlist out for Netea that differentiates them. I think that was more 'becuase we could' then anything else.
the savlar chemdogs have a lot of RR formations too.

I'll be using mine as Black Templar (v3.5) Neophyte Bikers so they look different from my standard Marine Bikers.
I have also used them as Rough Riders in the past.
