Just asking any one if they can identify the colors used on this chimera. I been having a hard time picking a color scheme for my epic guard (tried 3 already) and I keep looking at this one and I still like it, even after all this time(had pic for 5-6 months now) . I think its got a solid look for both a steel legion and death korps style look. And it pretty damn simple. Only problem is I got no idea what the hell colors are. they look like they are from out side the GW color range even though they be on a GW thing. any one have an idea?

It almost looks like Charadon Granite and Desert Yellow, but the brown is too blue for Charadon.

I asked the same thing a few months back (that color scheme is great I think) and didn't get a definite answer either. I've experimented with a few colors and think I've gotten it. VMC Green Ochre and VMC German Camo Black Brown are pretty damn close. Add a devlan mud wash (and maybe a black wash in the recesses of the Black Brown) and I think it's pretty close.

VMC? = vejello?

ya i was thinking of them too with all the WW2 stuff , its got some more realistic colors in the range.

lol, ya dosnt matter what u paint , you ALWAYS put either a was of devlan mud or black wash on in, EVEN WHITE!.

and no air brush. though it wont matter how i paint it , i can adapt to any thing, its just the colors
