Latest Version: Version 1.05 Don't worry about the low resolution on this version, the final version will be at 300dpi rather than this 72dpi version. Latest Death Korps changes: - Added Siege Engineers and Hades Breaching Drills - Reduced the cost of heavy support platforms by 25pts Other army list changes: - None Document Changes: - Many new unit texts written. - New artworks by 'stugmeister' added. TODO: - Finish writing Mossinian rebels unit entries. - Fix/expand the gallery section. - Do a new infantry painting guide. - Take new Death Korps unit photos (I have a much better camera now). - Either obtain unit pictures for the Mossinians, or obtain and paint and photograph them myself. I estimate a few weeks and it'll be done and ready to print, so proof reading and playtesting / reporting / discussing now is appreciated. |

You already know that I think the work is great.  I'll post nitpicks as I find them- First are the datafax pictures.  The boxes are in gray and the pixels around the models are white.  It needs to be cleaned up. The easiest way is to just make the datafax boxes white and color the pages themselves.  It isn't like the printer reduces his charges for less ink used.  Besides, it gives you an opportunity to drop a watermark image in the background. Or you can just fix each unit. --- I am assuming you know there are unit pictures missing. The Hades Drill is a particular concern since (I am guessing) nobody has modeled this for Epic yet. Leaving it blank seems rather cheap given the quality of work in the rest of the book and using an image from the 40K model is not an option (IP issues for printing). So it appears this would be a priority for SOMEBODY out there with master modeling skills to come up with a great conversion, paint it up, and provide WIP pics and the images of the final piece of course. If the conversion is from existing GW pieces, all the better as it makes for a great little tutorial. Of course all this takes time. Whoever did it would have to start now. --- The next is clipped off in the White Scars list in various places. --- “We shall die in such vast numbers that their strength will snap†|

Yeah I noticed that, I'm going to re-take all the pictures anyway with my new camera. I haven't decided if it should have a watermark image or not. Whatcha think guys? I'm going to convert one of Otterman's proxy tankettes. The next is clipped off in the White Scars list in various places. I'll check that. I also want to see what Epic UK have done with the White Scars list before going to print. “We shall die in such vast numbers that their strength will snap†|

First of all, I would like to compliment you for your hard work and determination. It must feel great to be so close to publishing now. I found some errors you might want to correct (so you will not have to be sorry later). In the Mossinian unit stats, the Mossinian Bombard has Supreme Commander (instead of Indirect Fire, I suppose) and so does the Mossinian Howitzer. The easiest way to represent the Hades drill would be to paint up a "popping" Termite marker. If you want to, I could try it for you. Just tell me the look you want for it, although I guess muddy and worn will fit the bill. I have not thoroughly proof-read the supplement, but I found a mistake in the Hades text as well. In the second paragraph, the opening sentence says: "Although the Death Korps forces deployed to Krieg did possess some Hades drills". I assume it should be "to Mossino" or "from Krieg". I know adding units or changing units close to going to print is risky, but have you considered Malcadors for the Rebels? Best wishes, Fredmans |

In the Mossinian unit stats, the Mossinian Bombard has Supreme Commander (instead of Indirect Fire, I suppose) and so does the Mossinian Howitzer. Thanks, I had already caught those for the next version, was most perplexed when I spotted it! The easiest way to represent the Hades drill would be to paint up a "popping" Termite marker. If you want to, I could try it for you. Just tell me the look you want for it, although I guess muddy and worn will fit the bill. Muddy and worn, yep. I was considering converting one of Otterman's Tankette proxies to represent a Hades drill, but the drill bit is really complex. Thanks! I know adding units or changing units close to going to print is risky, but have you considered Malcadors for the Rebels? Nah, the rebels in this don't have access to ancient technology like the rare Malcadors... there's a Vraks list floating around somewhere that has Malcadors in it. |

I like Jeridan's quote. ![]() I'd like to use that as the contents page quote... is it from anywhere in particular or should I credit it to Major General Jeridan of the Death Korps? |
