Latest version:

Version 1.08

1.08 Changes:

- Mostly Cosmetic changes & Additions.
- Added a Mossinian Reference Sheet

TODO:

- Do a new infantry painting guide (I think Farseer is doing one).
- Finish obtaining Mossinian photos.

I'm still waiting on permission to use the White Scars watermark so it may need to come back out if I don't get it.

The project's end is in sight now, printed copies aren't far away!

From Zombocom on another thread
The Mossinian stats have never been playtested as far as I know.

I was wondering how well the Mossinian list has been played?

---

White Scars - the section mentioning the initiatives should be centered instead of left justified.  The top of the army list boxes are 'clear' and should probably be white or gray.

The table of contents should be centered better.

My personal preference is to mention www.tacticalwargames.net instead of the long http://www.tacticalwargames.net/forums/index.cgi?.  It just looks better and people can figure out how to get to the forums from the main link well enough.

A very close variant of it was created by TRC ; I think it's been playtested by him.

No offense to you or TRC but 'him' tells me 'one person'.  It wouldn't be the first time a list has been put out with limited playtesting but it rarely results in something good (speaking from experience here).  I won't gripe about it - it's your book - but it seems like they'd be an easy lot to playtest.  I think I can even get my group to throw the Mossinian list down and play it against some other armies (no DKoK over here, sorry).

Since there is some time to work with (looks like you are short some items) I can get you some solid feedback.  Two weeks and I can promise at least two games, maybe four.  Let me know if that is something you'd want and we'll make it happen.

More testing is of course always good.

Hey E&C,

I don't want to seem piccy, but there was something I noticed in the story that doesn't quite make sense.

The Rooleg Isthmus is a peninsular? As I understand it an Isthmus is a narrow strip of land that joins two larger masses. Wouldn't it be more appropriate to have it known as the Rooleg Peninsula?

Glad to be of service. :)

The only reason I noticed it is because I've looked into the Finnish/Soviet campaign on the Karelian Isthmus during WW2.  :agree:

dont know if you saw these on the v1.07 thread...

A few more...

In the DKok Army List you have the Support formations box listed then the Upgrades, yet the Mossinians have the Upgrades listed then Support.  For consistancy, you may one to reverse one of them.

Pg 45 Again could be a Adobe illusion, but the words "Howizters-Seigemasters Gotterdammerung Howizters" in the Mossino list of models seem to be a different size font (like 1 size larger) than the rest of the list.  When you zoom in to 200% you can see the word Seigemasters looks bigger than the same word in lines above/below it.  you can also see it at 75% zoom level.

Pg 45 In the "Not In Production" side of the Mossinian models list, you should reference the 2nd ed. Deathstrike being counted as the Firestrike Missle Launchers for consistancy and clarity.

Just on a silly style preference: I think the background image for each page would look better in a kind of sepia colour rather than grey. Not entirely sure I like the font either. Otherwise looking really promising.

The font is Garamond, the same one GW used in the Epic rulebooks, AFAIK.

Is it? Looks different to me. Anyway a minor point. What do you think of using sepia rather than grey for the page background?

I like grey.  :p

I'll try it and see what it looks like.
