Ever since I was introduced to Tactical Command I've had a hankerin' for the Elysian List.  It stands in stark contrast to Steel Legion and is easy on the ideas to boot.

I tried reaching out to Honda (previous Champ) but to no avail.  My guess is he has moved on but I can't be sure.

Questions:
1. Does anyone else have any contact with him?
2. Does anyone know if he is still interested in championing his list?
3. Is anyone else interested in championing it?

I'd like to take a crack at it or at least work with somebody else on it if there are other takers.  I anticipate being able to field a decent sized Elysian army in the next few weeks with some new acquisitions so playtesting shouldn't be a problem.

Thoughts?

As the owner of an Elysian army for 40k, I've wanted to see a stable Elysian list for Epic for a while now.

I was planning on doing a list for the competition last year until I found there was one already. I'd be interested in helping develop one.

I was thinking of getting in alternative stats for the Valkyrie and Vulture based on the FW models, and maybe a formation that was able to teleport (grav-chute).

Honda checked in not to long ago on the Tau thread, I'm surprised you didn't get a response.

Last Logon was April 22nd of this year with four posts in 11 months.  Who knows, maybe he is on vacation or taking a break, but I'd hate to see everyone waiting around for him to pop in if he is just giving up.  It's not like we can't just give him back the champ seat.  I like Honda a lot but I don't want to see the Elysian list die because he's absent.

FYI I emailed him again just now.  Hopefully he'll respond.  It wasn't too long ago we chatted quite a bit so this is a little weird not to hear from him.

I think the point that Dobbsy is trying to make is that you guys have been arguing/discussing/debating the finer (or not) points of the list for two years now...but you still aren't playing the list. It's been almost a year since the last time I poked in here and you're still in the same place.

This isn't life or death, it's a game.

See you in a year...maybe.

I remember that now.  I remember thinking, "What the heck?"
So, onto question #3 - anyone else interested in helping out on getting the Elysians back on track?  Dave's in, I'm in...

Well, until somebody else chimes in I say we steward the list and see if we can bring the Eysians under control.  I can't find the reference but IIRC even Honda felt the list was overpowered in the end.

I have everyone's email. I'll shoot y'all something soon.  We'll share some ideas as to where the Elysians are and where they could be/ should be.

Just so I'm clear, the Elysians are sort of an IG Raven Guard, yes?

All grav-chutes and HALO from Valkyries instead of Drop Pods and Thunderhawks?

I'd definitely be keen on getting involved.  I have a large Elysian Army for Epic.

Hey there,

Been on vacation and just got your note.  I used the link to see what was going on and I will post some comments.

It is my preference to remain the list champion, but I do believe that there are ways to load share the work. I do want the final say on the decisions.

It was good to see Jim was still alive and coming back.  I guess we'll wait and see what he's got to say. :cool:
