Fanatic Online Issue 93 announced that SG would be running an EA army list competition until the end of October.

http://specialist-games.com/default.asp

This is one of my entries that I plan on submitting, a Savlar Chem-Dog Conscript Regiment army list.  I'd like to get the communities thoughts (an spelling/grammar checks if you don't mind) about it before I submit it.  So that being the case, here you go :).

Given the rules, I can't add any new units.  However, I do have a version in which I added a Leman Russ Exterminator, Chem-riders and Hardened Criminals.  If there's interest I can post that here as well.

Edit: I forgot to point out, the content is from Chapter Approved.  I condensed and edited it a little however to make it flow better within one page.  The army list is meant to represent the force's current doctrine list.

Looks really cool!

One comment: A formation of 15 Rough Riders, even without scouts, is going to be *murderous*, especially at 300 points.

If you're going with the proposed "no extra attack" on the Power Lance, maybe, but using current "One first strike and one normal" attack, that is a horrific formation in my opinion.

The DK list has 12 bases for 250pts (without scout)... they rarely do anything useful.

That's 24, 4+, infiltrating attacks!  With the Chem-Dogs it's 32 attacks...

Sure, I'm just looking at it "on paper"... but that seems steam-roller to me!

They die in droves.

Thanks guys,

Chroma, I was actually going by your stats you suggested earlier this year in the RR review thread.  I kind of forgot they weren't official :-P.

You can use DRM Industrial Infantry for them. :D

Since BlackLegion cleared up the new units question.  Here's my second take, with a little new unit flavor.

I made a file gallery for contest entries, if people would like to add there's to it feel free.

Looks good!

One point: disrupt on CC/FF weapons doesn't actually exist anywhere in the rules and and can lead to some oddities that have never been addressed; I'd advise against being the one to set that precedent.

Arg, I see your point.  I intended them to apply before the assault resolution, but that would make them hard as nails in assault.  And after would mean LOTS of hack downs.

I removed Disrupt and gave them Ignore Cover instead. Think creative uses of hand grenades, decoys and other acts of misdirection to eliminate a defender's cover save.

You can still download at the same place, the file has been updated.

and drop the Lasguns from the Hardened Criminals as well (as it really doesn't do anything on the unit).

True, I keep it in there for completeness/anal retentiveness sake.

Chaos has disrupt in assault weapon. It was the favoured GD Great Unclean One (which has the flamer template as well) :).

Ah yes... all those untested rules, in one pustulant package!
