Hey everyone!

I'm starting Epic allong with my brother, and wondered about the forge world models, are there any rules that go with the Earthshaker cannon and Ork bommerz for example?

My brother is starting IG and I'm starting Orks by the way.

Can you help me?  :)

Most of the IG have some rules in the collector's section of the rulebook (Though no formation sizes and points costs).

We've been attempting to find some accepted points & formation types for the variant IG vehicles in a few variant army lists:

Death Korps of Krieg (IG Static guns)

Armoured Regiment (IG variant Leman Russ tanks)

I'm not sure if anyone's done the same for the Ork vehicles yet.

So there arn't any official rules available at all? I thought there might be because the Earthshaker Cannon was at least mentioned in the free set of rules... but I couldn't find it anywhere... Is that the same with the Forge World Leman Russ variants, Ork Bommerz Ork Flak Gunz etc?

Pretty much; there's no official armylist that contains stats, formation sizes and points costs for the Forgeworld vehicles.

Not yet, anyway. :)

Anything in particular you're interested in, other than the static earthshaker platforms & the bommerz?

The earthshaker platform stats & points found in the death korps armylist are pretty balanced, incidentally.

Aaaah, bummer. I wonder if amassed emails would hurry them.  ???

Nothing other than that really, but my brother could defenatly save some money on FW, being plastic and all. I read somewhere that Salamanders count as Chimeras and that the Earthshaker had rules somewhere but I've really no idea...

I was planning on getting the Flak Wagonz from FW as well as the Gunwagonz [9 of which are on my way] and Battlewagonz. I hope they do more Ork models, especially a Battlefortess or GunFortress.

I guess I could use / make up some houise rules for things, but I'd rather stick to official rules for the moment.

Thanks for the help though! :;):

Like Hena said using the "Count As" rule is perfectly acceptable. The Ork Flak guns could count as Big Gunz in case of the static gun (The ork gunner obviously didn't think about pointing his guns up into the air :D ) and the Flakwagon quite obvious as a Flakwagon.
The Ork Bommerz Could count as Landaz for the time being untill someone comes up with rules for them in Epic (FW most likely will only publish AI rules for the models).

There's a number of optional rules and points values for stuff like the Earthshaker platforms floating around the net. SG aren't the ones selling the FW models so they don't feel any need to provide any rules for them. However I believe there was an article in Fanatic Online about Siege warfare that contained optional rules for them. That'd be about the closest to official rules I can think of. Werther or not they're particularly balanced is another question though.

Oh and FW do have a Battlefortress available BTW :;):

A minor point though: FW models are not plastic but resin. It is a somewhat less flexible material than plastic so it needs to be handled a bit more carefull if you don't want to snap some if the finely detailed bitz.
