- Colossi are now upgrades for Artillery Company and Battery.

That means you can only ever have Colossus companies (can't upgrade a support formation).

Just bite the bullet and have two seperate prices.

Here are some starting points costs:

CORE
Command Platoon - 700 Points (consider reducing in size so it fits inside one Stormlord?)
Mech Platoon - 700 Points
Inf Company - 300 Points
Tank Company - 650 Points
Artillery Company - 650 Points (Basilisks or Manticores only)

SUPPORT
Armoured Fist Platoon - 225 Points (+125 Points to replace Chimeras with a Stormlord)
Artillery Battery - Basilisks or Manticores, 250 Points; Collossus, 300 Points
Bike Squadron - 250 Points
Heavy Artillery Battery - 350 Points
Storm Trooper Task Force --- DELETE
Tank Hunter Squadron - 175 Points    (Valdor's main gun should be 60cm not 75cm)
Thunderstrike Missile Battery - 200 Points
Flak Battery - 150 Points

UPGRADES
Griffons - 1-3 Griffons - 25 Points each
Hellhounds - 125 Points
Medusas - 150 Points
Armoured Sentinels - 50 Points
Snipers - 50 Points (POSSIBLY DELETE)
Tanks - 200 Points
Flak - 0-2 Hydras - 50 Points for one, 75 Points for 2.

Why the sudden range reduction of the Neutron Laser-Projector?

Why no Storm Troopers?

The Command Platoon is only 6 units (1 Supreme Commander and 5 Heavy Fire Support Squads) so needs only one Stormlord.

Why the sudden range reduction of the Neutron Laser-Projector?

It's supposed to be slightly shorter-ranged than a Battlecannon, IIRC.

Why no Storm Troopers?

In-game, they perform a very similar role to the Armoured Fist formation.

And in the background, Storm Troopers tend to come from a different world than the rest of the army, and this army (as a PDF) would be unlikely to recieve offworld Storm Troopers on a regular basis.

Then why does the army list stipulate 2 Stormlords for the formation?

Drop it to 500pts then.

The Neutron Laser-Projector has a 72" range same as a BattleCannon.

If Storm Troopers come from off-planet so Commissars too. Should i replace Commissars for Preachers?

Speaking of Advisors. Considering the proximity to the Maelstrom hiow about including Sanctioned Psykers or even Psyker Squads?

The second Stormlord in the Command Platoon was an oversight.

Ooo, the psycher squads fromt the new codex could be interesting to include in this list, if you nudge the fluff correctly.

Would sanctioned Psykers be allocated to a PDF? I doubt it.

Heaven could house a Scholastica Psycana school. Some crystals on Heaven might be psi-reactive which could help in schooling someones psychic talents (getting hold of psykers to form them in Chaos loyal sorcerers might be one more goal for the Red Corsairs and their minions).
And the Psyker Squad (how is it called in the englisch Codex?) acts as a unified Choir. How fitting is that?  :grinning:

As on Strom Troopers: Kasrkin aren't from off-world too.

"Psyker Battle Squad", IIRC.

They were treated as Grenediers IIRC, not Storm Troopers.

They weren't allowed to Deep Strike (the inference being that they weren't allowed to use Valkyries).

Which is all besides the point, as my point is that you have two highly similar Support Formations (Armoured Fist Platoon and Storm Troopers) and one should be dropped.

Hmm currently i see Valdor spam to get higher activations as the core formations are rather expensive. Even the non-mechanised Platoon is expensive for IG standarts.

V0.5 now downloadable in the 1st posting.
- points costs added
- Storm Troopers removed.
- Command Platoon only 1 Stormlord

And what about including a Assault Tank Company as support formation consisting of 9 or 10 Hellhounds? each 3 Hellhounds could be replaced for 3 Devil Dogs or 3 Bane Wolfs? Would give a bit of mobility to the slow core formations.

I've tried building some army lists from the new version, and try as I might I can't find a place for the 700pt Mech Inf Platoon. I suggest cutting it down in troop numbers until it will fit inside a single Stormlord like the HQ Platoon.

Then remove the Stormlord option from the Armoured Fist Platoon.

Does it enhance the Heavy Infantry theme of the list?

If no, then no.

And no.

The infantry is heavy all other things needn't to be heavy...or infantry  :grinning:

Fitting the Platoon to only one Stormlord would make the platoon rather small. 1 Command Squad and 3 Infantry Squads = 7 units in Epic.

Hmm...

OK how about this?
- Heavy Infantry Platoon as Core Formation: 1 Commander, 6 Heavy Infantry, 1 Stormlord (475pts)
- Light Infantry Platoon as Support Formation: Salamander Command, 6 Heavy Infantry, 3 Chimeras (250pts)
- Upgrade for Core Formation: 4 Heavy Infantry (100pts)(may have 1 Stormlord for +225pts)

Also thinking about Heavy Snipers instead of Snipers. Would be Special Weapons Squad with Sniper Rifles. Only one unit for the Upgrade not two as "light" Snipers.
