Are you just talking about the colour illos in Imperial Armour, which shows a lot of tanks from a lot of regiments, but doesn't really note their rarity there, or something more?

I'll be reviewing Imperial Armour I and III this weekend for references.

EDIT - WOOT!  I just found an obscure "Hamman's World" reference that had Cadian forces fighting the Tyranids!

Nothing more, just that Cadians have been seen driving pretty much every Tank/SHT.

It's up to you to judge how rare each appearance may be, and thence how likely it is that each design would be an 'iconically used' tank type.

I suspect just 3x Attached Russ / Russ Demolishers would suffice. Attached Sentinels could be cool too (As Cadians use Sentinels not just for scouting but also as light infantry support).

And an infantry horde would be boring. There are other factors that define Cadian troops, the high proportion of their finest warriors that are trained and highly equipped Kasrkin for example.

A mechanised Kasrkin-heavy strike force seems far more interesting and differentiated. If it helps, think of this as an Interior Guard force rather than a Cadian PDF regiment or a classic "shock troop" regiment.

Thanks for that- I had nt read further than the list titled Cadian Shock Troop Strike Force. Now I see that also Cadian Defence Force list.

Personally I think it is confusing to have 2 Cadian lists. If there are 2 be 2 lists I think we should have a Cadian Shock Troop and Inquisitorial Strike Force list.

The list currently titled Cadian Shock Troop Strike Force would be ideal start for Inquisitorial Strike Force list. Drop the Whiteshields and add Grey Knights as 0-1 support choice.

Then you can use the list currently titled Cadian Defence Force to be the basis for Cadian Shock Troop list. Add transport option for Ksarkin and Infantry Companies. Plus Leviathan / CI as per the other thread.

Fair enough on the plasma weaponry. Just asked as could nt remember. I would like to see one LR variant and/or one SHT variant in Cadian list to further differentiate Cadian list from Armageddon SL. I dont have a fixed one in mind. I presume probably would nt be Stormhammer due to balance issues raiseedd in Minervan list. I do hvae some Stormblades ready for my future Cadian army so I would nt be too averse to Stormblade being added to Cadian list!!

What about adding the Stormlord from Apocalpse Reload? Its a Baneblade chassis with a VulcanMegabolter (FixedForward judged by the picture), a Lascannon and twin a HeavyFlamer in each sponson and a transport capacity of 40 troops (8 units) whom half of them can shoot out of it.

EDIT: Just found out that in March there will be a new plastik SHT kit from GW. One of the variants you can build is a so called Doomhammer. Looks like a Stormsword but with the gun positioned more to the front. Could have a transport capacity.

Stormlord sounds interesting. Like the idea of SHT with transport capability. How balanced is it compared to Baneblade or Shadowsword?
