That picture gives me a vision of the ragnorak replaced with a hellhound, and the Krieg cowering as the flame cannon is just starting to fire...

The only things to be done before publication now are the front cover & a few more unit pictures for the Mossinians.

So most likely we can go to print right after you're done...

Include a Gorgon in the background firing off its mortars?

One or two Gorgons discharging their mortars while DeathKorpsers disembarking from them to overrun enemy trenches full of Mossinians would be cool as cover :)

Thanks for the ideas dudes - they shall be incorporated. :)

Constructive crits would be most welcome indeed!

Right, the image is going to be showing a full-out offensive by the Kreig as they try to take the Rebel's trenches. There'll be fighting in the trenches, Gorgon SuperHeavy APCs disgorging infantry, Hellhounds burning and lotsa arty!

This is what I've managed so far in 20minutes. What do you guys think about the perspective on the trenches? Is it working ok? The big space at the top is for the title of the book.

It's exactly what I was hoping for; A good high perspective so we can see the whole huge battlefield (This is EPIC after all!), space for Gorgons to go, space for cannonfire... very good.

I hate to nitpick, because you do such lovely work Stug, but shouldn't the trenches be on top of the hill instead of at the bottom of it?

They're half way up the hill, and on top of it too (You can see the cannon emplacements).

This is the same universe where they bring a sword to a gun fight and wear brightly colored armor. Think visual candy, DS!
