It is in line with other light weapons platforms. Baran and Mossinian Rapiers and Thudds have 10cm move, Death Korps Quad Launchers and Heavy Mortars have 5cm move. (I'd never noticed tAll are Infantry, and have Mounted. The platforms you reference are much larger than a Sabre.

The Sabre is most closely related to the Baran/Mossinian light weapons platforms, which are designed for direct infantry support. Kreig's platforms are more properly field artillery.

Maybe a dumb question, but perhaps this is not the list to feature Slords then?

A list i've idly been toying with (heavy mech list - vostroyan/volpone style) also had the Slords (i wanted to use the exodus wars exterminator models ;) ). They were a support formation with infantry, essentially a replacement for storm troopers to represent the veterans.

Could be a possible solution to the problem here? (would then limit the availability of heavy transport)

Thoughts on removing "transport" from the 'Lord and having it as an infantry support tank with stats including garrisoned/dedicated infantry on the fighting platform?

Nah, they're like mini leviathans and whatever list they get used in they should be transports, IMO.

non of the Cadian SHT transports are going to be as cheap as Gorgons, are they really viable?

Not now that SG's put them up to 200pts each, no, they're now not viable, IMO.

If the Collosus is using the Orbital template I would suggest 2BP with no special abilities, the template is what makes the attack special, only really exceptional weapons should have two special attributes. As it is it is clearly utterly nuts!

Personally I'd go for:

3BP
Macro Weapon
One Shot

Maybe also Ignores Cover.

No need for the mega template. Certainly not that and Macro Weapon.

And all have a crew of 3-5 (field artillery) and wheels/tracks or 4-8 men (gun platforms) and no wheels/tracks.
The Sabre has a crew of 2 men only and has no wheels or other propuslion equipment. Thats only slightly better than a Space Marine Tarantula (no crew and propulsion device) which is also a Light Vehicle and move 0cm in the Imperial Fists army list.

I could see the Sabre going to move 0cm. It'd certainly give a different feel to the unit.

Alternatively, 5cm-10cm move would represent the crew manhandling it.

I want to see how two guys can transport this: http://www.forgeworld.co.uk/Images/Prod ... abreac.jpg

BTW the cross-shaped foot is the same as on the Tarantula.

Maybe if there were 8 guys to carry it. :D

Yeah, it should probably be an immobile LV should it.

There's
Baneblade - Steel legion
Stormblade - Minervan
Shadowsword - Steel Legion
Stormsword - Minervan
Stormlord - No home
Stormhammer - Minevan

I think that's it (just double checking on the minervans when the file downloads...)

E&C, there is another variant SHT with no home yet, the Baneblade with the alternative cover ignoring main weapon, can't reneged the name? Would that be another option rather than the Storm Lord?

Hellhammer?

It'd be a Baneblade with its main gun replaced with some sort of better Demolisher Cannon (AP2+/AT3+ ignores cover) I guess.

It just seems strange to make the decision not to have Chimera, a fair choice considering the list "flavour" despite the fact Cadian Chimera are mentioned in the background, but then add Storm Lord transports, they're very rare and very specialist vehicles. So long as there is absolute consensus that you want Storm Lords though that's fine!

I wanted to get an Armoured Fist support choice in there (10 infantry & 5 Chimeras, or similar), but didn't get the opportunity.
