i think the jump troops fit w/ your vision of a 'heaven' theme. you could come up w/ some kind of reason in the fluff why they work.
as much as i'd like to see a capital imperialis in a list i think the others are right. fluffwise it doesn't work and you have a lot of new units added to this list already.
i like the idea of the infantry getting 5+ saves. this seems to fit w/ a big armored suit they would have to wear to protect themselves from the harsh environment.
i don't have your army list in front of me, so you might of already used it. but archangel should be used as a name for an upgrade. it just has that biblical badass sounding name.... you know that whole "heaven"thing your aiming for.

I have to agree on the CI+titans being inappropriate, If you are dropping chimeras I do think they need another non-SH transport as PDF would be largely patrolling etc which wouldn't really be suitable for a Super heavy.

Not sure about gorgons - open-topped in a toxic atmosphere?

Deathstrikes - are they suitable for a PDF? - I would think they would use silos

The Stormlord is open topped too. But rules wise only for disembarking it counts as open topped O.o

Bingo! You found the irony in all this  :D

If spores/crystals would clog Valks and Vultures, I think jump packs would be impeded as well.

Look at a previous posting of me. There is apossible reason how they might still be useful.

Archangel is a good name. Angels could be the name for the generic Infantry unit.

No! We must lug our ICBMs right to the frontlines before shooting them at enemy tanks 100 meters across! Do not dare to question Tactica Imperialis!

Well a Hive World would have more like 5 billion citizens.  :)

I suggest simply dropping the Capitol Imperialis (or CI proxy), and concentrating on the other cool new stuff this list has... the Stormlord could become the iconic transport of this list y'know.

I should point out those are British billions.

Deathstrikes - are they suitable for a PDF? - I would think they would use silos

I don't think they'd have 'em at all...

Baran Siegemasters are our baseline PDF army list, and they get them.

If Barans canhave them then the ermm.....well how shoull i name then?
Heaven(ly) Heavy Guard?
Heaven(ly) Heavy Dragoons?
Heaven(ly) Choir?

And if there will be a "Heavy" inthe name there willbe a "Light" somwhere. Those would be the personal bodyguard of the gouvernor. So only parade tin-soldiers

Why not just Heavenly Dragoons? All those options sound a bit unwieldy.

To be different.

The Barans *aren't* a PDF force, they're a "Siege Regiment" and true Imperial Guard, that's why it's fine for them or Kriegers to have Deathstrikes, they've got the orginizational backing to procure them.

I don't see a PDF force having such resource readily at hand.

Actually PDF aren't the low end of the technology standard of the Imperial Guard.
Is see the actual Imperial Guard as somewhere in the middle with lots of standard equipment. So there are PDF with hoghly advanced equipment or very low standard equipment but until tithed in the Imperial Guard their individual equipment will quickly be replaced with standard Imperial Guard issue types.

For example: A Armageddon Steel Legion PDF Regiment wouldn't have acsess to Ogryns or Rough Riders but the moment they are tithed into the Imperial Guard they will be distributed some (thats why i see the rulebook Steel Legion army as a tithed regiment and not as proper SteelLegion). Some equipment they will continue to use as the Sentinels and Basilisks with enclosed cabines and off course their typical uniforms until they are destoyed and will be replaced with the standard open-topped ones.

They are clearly a PDF army that operates in a defensive siege style.
