I've noticed some of my own posts are blank.

Also, 'quick post' isn't working for me, I have to go to 'Add Reply' instead.

glad its not just me ^^

My Minervan experience is limited, but to me the list over all feel very constrained, its hard to get enough activations out of them with the 2 Support per Company thing going on, much harder to work with than in the Steel Legion.

I agree the Stormhammer is a beast, especially in a Company of 3 with a Commissar and the SC.

I didn't even realize Minervan Commissars don't have Leader until I played them, and I was quite surprised by it.

The Minervans have a number of benefits over the standard IG list.  I am hoping the fact that the list structure makes building up your activations difficult will be a strong enough counterbalance.

I am open to the fact that the Stormhammers may be out of balance, but I am committed that they shall remain as such until at least a year goes by.  Not that I am not open to new stats but I think the list underwent enough rapid fire changes.  It is conceivable that the unit will need little to no modification if playtesting doesn't reveal a consistent pattern of butt-whoopings.  Point in fact, they really didn't do much to me during our Minervan-Dark Eldar game and the DE should have suffered more than most.

That could be because you killed the SC's Stormhammer with a single shot Crit and the lack of Leader left them broken or ineffective turns 3 and 4 =p

Now the same unit of 2 stormhammers and a baneblade after losing the baneblade to heavy Chaosing managed to outfight several attempts to Engage it and even charged a full, blast-markerless Forlorn Hope with 5 BMs.

The baneblade felt totally worthless by comparison, points better spent on shadowswords or stormhammers.

I have to disagree that the Minervans have advantages, their Commissars are worse since expensive troops with awesome shooting don't Engage on purpose often enough to care about Inspiring or the extra (nonMW) attack. Certainly not for the lack of leader.

All they have is the ability to swap their Russ variants freely and take them in formations of 6 as well as having SHTs that the Steel Legion isn't allowed to play with, which is either an oversight or at least an unintended consequence. SHTs should be the same for all IG in my opinion, at least the Steel Legion should get 0-1. ^^

I did like the option for an all Demolisher platoon, but not enough to play it over the Steel Legion. I can see some use for an all Executioner platoon...

The posts 16, 25 and 28 are blank here while others are ok. Anything special on them possibly? Browser specific things ('cos konqueror here)?

I am starting to see a pattern. Try viewing using IE (I know, you will need to wash your hands after!   ). The boards seem to be showing a preference.

Commissar lacking leader an error? I always played them as leader, especially when attached to Infantry platoons or Stormtroopers.

I´m unsure about that now to be honest. Leader for commissars is burned into my logic circuits somehow     :heart-break:

Only E&C can answer that.  I may have taken over the Champ responsibilities but it was his original monster so I cannot answer to the intent.  If he intended for them to be without leader, then it stands.  If he just dropped the ball then its an errata (that'll be #2).

The Salamander Commands have Leader and I think every unit can take them so perhaps that was the Reason?

I suppose I could put the SC's Commissar in the same unit and have a super Stormhammer!

I do feel that Minervan SCs can be used much more aggressively than Steel Legion, and I really do want to be sold on the army, but I struggle trying to get activations and if it wasn't for my love of Thunderbolts I'd be very low on formations.

I dropped the ball (Or never picked it up in the first place).

Unless it was pulled out for balance reasons and I subsequently forgot, Commissars should have Leader.
