Point in fact, they really didn't do much to me during our Minervan-Dark Eldar game and the DE should have suffered more than most.
That could be because you killed the SC's Stormhammer with a single shot Crit and the lack of Leader left them broken or ineffective turns 3 and 4 =p
Now the same unit of 2 stormhammers and a baneblade after losing the baneblade to heavy Chaosing managed to outfight several attempts to Engage it and even charged a full, blast-markerless Forlorn Hope with 5 BMs.
The baneblade felt totally worthless by comparison, points better spent on shadowswords or stormhammers.
I have to disagree that the Minervans have advantages, their Commissars are worse since expensive troops with awesome shooting don't Engage on purpose often enough to care about Inspiring or the extra (nonMW) attack. Certainly not for the lack of leader.
All they have is the ability to swap their Russ variants freely and take them in formations of 6 as well as having SHTs that the Steel Legion isn't allowed to play with, which is either an oversight or at least an unintended consequence. SHTs should be the same for all IG in my opinion, at least the Steel Legion should get 0-1. ^^
I did like the option for an all Demolisher platoon, but not enough to play it over the Steel Legion. I can see some use for an all Executioner platoon...
