but supreme would go in a super heavy if such was available.

Would he?

I really think it depends on the armoured regiment / commander in question.

Well is it the Regimental or Battalion command staff?

If it is suppose to be the Regimental, should develop the Leviathan as an option along with a mixed Infantry/Chimera/Salamander unit I think.  If it is the Battalion command staff a mixed Infantry/Chimera/Tank unit.

A choice can still be provided, but the Superheavies as the standard Command Unit does not fit in my opinion.

Perhaps the RC could be in a specific formation consisting of either 6LR or 2 superheavy tanks for 400pts.  Combines greater flexibility without being too flexible...   Or indicate which companies are eligable for RC upgrade.

FA = Field Artillery ?another common abbrev. for self-propelled artillery is SPARTY

Another common organization for a tank brigade/regiment is three tank battalions, a SPARTY battalion, an air defense battalion (with a battery of SP AAA and a mobile SAM battery), and a smattering of recon, signal, engineer, and maintenance companies.  The brigade HQ using the same type tank the rest of th e brigade is tooling around in and a command variant APC/IFV of some sort.

Thanks E&C & SGT C ...  Yes, FA = Field Artillery, like Basilisks, Manticores, etc.  And a Bn is around 2-6 Cos.(Companies) ...     And based on SM1 IG TO&Es (and RL in some cases), the IG; (and most if not all Armies) there is a Bn Cdr (in a L/R or Chimera), and a Rgtl Cdr (in a B/Blade [or Lev., but we keep ours with the Squats !]) ... This supports what SGT C posted (it should we serve(d) in the same Army !)  :D                 Here's an idea, that I did with one of my 6 IG Rgts(SM1 TO&Es).  The Germans in '42-'43 had a Panzer Co. TO&E that consisted of 2 Plts of Tiger Is (Hvy Panzer) and 2 Plts of Pz.IIIs MBTs).  So IG could have 2 Plts of SHTs and 2 of L/Rs ...  :)
