DKOK Lists

Ok, so I'm wrestling with this monster, we know as the DKoK and I'm going through a some mental yoga trying to get things to fit, which is not necessarily a simple exercise I am finding. There are so many cool toys to play with...

Anyway, without any playtesting yet, this is what I've cobbled together and I'd be interested in some feedback by those who are familiar with this beast (i.e. the list).

* Regimental HQ, 1 x SC Cmd, 19 x Inf
- Fire Support 4 x Fire Support

* Infantry Co 1 x Cmd, 19 x Inf
- Fire Support 4 x Fire Support

* Infantry Co 1 x Cmd, 19 x Inf
- Gorgons 2 x Gorgons

* Artillery Co 9 x Earth Shakers

* Grenadiers 8 x Grenadiers
- Gorgons 1 x Gorgon

* Lt. Support Btty 4 x Lt. Guns (probably Quads)

* Lt. Support Btty 4 x Lt. Guns (Probaby Quads)

* AA Defense 4 x Hvy AA, 2 x Hydra

So I find myself having used up all of my Support choices and I still have 175 pts left over. I know that I can drop the Arty Co., but then I lose 3 guns and have a Support choice deficit, which means I give up something else. Neither of which seem like great ideas.

I could take some SHTs (I have 3 x Stormblades and 3 x Baneblades) and swap something else out, but that just starts the juggling all over again. I also have enough LR equivalents to field a 6 + 3 Tank squadron.

The operational plan would be very similar to Asaura's in his battle with Hena, i.e. a rigerous defense of the Krieg side of the board. BTW, that was a very well written and insightful report that helped tremendously in trying to figure out what to do with these capabilities.

Footnote: I originally went for a bunch of trenches (x 2), but decided that I'd save that for a later configuration. Right now, I'm trying to get something I can play in a game to get a feel for what kind of figs I need to get.

Also, any thoughts on Centaur/Trojans for the artillery vs. emplacements?

And if I've got everything backwards, it's because I've played against IG a fair amount, but never tried to play them.

Trenches are really neat...

Anyway Airplanes with space points?

As to emplacements vs transports trasnports let you move which many arty pieces never do, they also allow some of the formation to survive as air assault which is important if its a bts or you want survivors for whatever reason. Oh they also give break point boosts and close in anti infantry firepower. Choice is about even if you can deploy the guns in on table cover, otherwise the emplacements win in my experience.
