I don't see why EPIC UK lists should be included in a list of NET:EA lists any more than French Epic lists should be included.

Or Netepic lists, for that matter.

This is not a NetEA exclusive forum; it's an "EA" forum, so the EpicUK links are fine. They're clearly marked, so there shouldn't be a problem.

So we should catalogue the French lists too?

If this is just a list of links then translation won't be needed.

If they wanted to post them here, they could, but there's no reason actively catalogue them.

The F-ERC does their dev and discussion on their own forums, while the EpicUK community does often participate and discuss things here. As the forum moderator, if the NetEA IG Army Champion wishes to include or exclude such lists from these posts, that's his perogative, but this forum is not exclusively NetEA.

One good reason might be the EPIC UK advertises some 'non-EPIC UK' events (like the Winter Warmer and London).

I don't see why you can't do the same with our army lists.

I was mulling over in my head recently the idea of asking EUK if they wanted some lists in the NetEA armies book. Some of their lists don't have a NetEA equivilent and so wouldn't clash, was my thought.

What a difference 5 months makes. :-)

I don't mind having links to EpicUK up as well as they are just another source to gain comparison and inspiration from - same for NetEpic as well.

What I have a concern about is bringing both the NetEA and EpicUK documents into correlation with each other. From what I understand, one is a very autocratic closed development and the NetEA is (supposed to be) very community based. With the same lists existing that either have different aspects or ways of playing, I would wonder whether the UK influence would overshadow the NetEA developments purely because we seem to have the majority of NetEA ACs (I think) who are in the UK.

If that were to happen, I hope the NetEA would be bold enough to draw a line as the overall vision of the two parties (from being in down under at least) is wildly different. In the NetEA, I have a voice (albeit a small one), while in EpicUK, I would not even register on their map (I feel).

I think that simply comes down to Epic development starting in the UK, and the biggest English-speaking Epic community being in the UK. (There are more Epic players worldwide than there are in the UK, but not so concentrated).

But on the other hand, I'm from the UK, but I'm no more involved in EUK army list development than you are, Frogbear.

The nationality of ACs seems to have changed over time - if you look 3 years ago we had all north american ACs (bar 1 austrian+ tim with ork variants)

Nah, TRC was UK based at that time.

Good point though, I hadn't considered that several of the AC spots have swung to the UK over the past few years.

I thought TRC only took over in the last 2 years after it was pretty much vacant for a while after the demise of the SG development forums

I can't remember when TRC became main IG champ, but he was Siegemasters champ since before Swordwind was published I think?
