Latest version: Version 1.1

I'd like to think about the use of Commissars in an Armoured Regiment...

Is a 6+ MW attack all that helpful to an Armoured Regiment?

Should AR Commissars get another ability instead?

Is there any historical or fluff precedent to draw from? (IIRC a 40k Commissar tank can upgrade the tank's accuracy?)

Aye a 40K tank commissar has BS4, which is why he has my exterminator (that and he can use it to shoot fleeing tank crews   )

Can I ask why the storm troopers valkaries are cheaper than the steel legions (100 instead of 150)?

the commisar tank has actually been dropped from the list... but it used to stop the withdrawl of the tanks when the company broke in 40K, so fearless and leader would seem to suit just fine...

Self propelled Hydras, 1 Battery, 1 Upgrade.  I do not think the Heavy Support Battery is needed, the Armored force is mobile and probably should not have platforms.

As I said in the other thread, IA:1 says that Armoured Regiments would have them, so they're in.

Assume it's a typo.

We have Commissars in Rhinos (based on SM2 mostly) attached (optionally) to all IG Bns and Rgts ... Even Commissar General/Yarrick w/Rhino option/upgrade (based on E40K) :D

Ok on the platforms.  Stil think that mobile Hydras should be added.

its true that the IA:1 states armoured companies use platforms, but its to defend fixed positions due to lack of infantry protection along with trantula platforms.... so i can see both a reason for and against them.... i think they should be in the list... seems more a player choice to use them or not... IMO

Agreed, it's an accidental oversight that they're not in there to begin with (This list was basically just scraped wholesale out of the DK 1.6 list... I'm suprised it looks intelligable at all!)

1. Making a own company for supreme commander

With such an inflexible list, I don't see what's wrong with allowing the player to cusomise their army in this minor regard.

2. Change the platforms to the SL artillery batteries.

The SP artillery & Hydra are in the next version, but platforms are not being dropped on fluff grounds.

The platform weapons, if you are referring to the F/W IG models, if you note the Earthshaker has a carriage. So the others would be moved in the same way ... They would be considered towed (pulled behind a vehicle), like many ?FA units were at the beginning of WWII. ?And even some units today still use towed FA. ?So my point is those platform weapons are mobile, but for game purposes they probably won't move ... especially in a defensive scenario. However, ideally Armored or Mech Rgts would have SP FA. ?But as I have said before, we see Epic as a Hi-tech version of WWII, so towed FA would be pervalent ... IMO. :D
