Yes it's the same weapon with the same strange stats :D Which would make the Rocket Pod Sentinel a very...strange unit's choice in Epic.
Go there, shoot, run to elswhere and then act as speedbump for the rest of the battle:D

In 40k the support sentinel's main use is as a communications beacon to help the drop troopers land at the right time/place. This isn't really representable in Epic without a clutered special rule.

There was an IG lander at steel legion testing stage, but it was dropped. Now it can be resurected!

Oh and no way little sentinel units get to be one shot - too much book keeping!!!

Where there ever stats published for the Imperial Guard Lander?

Fix for the Sentinel would be easy:
Valkyrie has Rocket Pod which is one-shot
Sentinel has Multiple Rocked Pod which can fire every turn.

COLOSSUS (Armageddon Pattern)

Type Speed Armour Close Combat Firefight

Weapons: 4 x Twin Lascannon Turrets, 4 x Twin Multilaser Turrets

Weapon Range Firepower
Twin Lascannon 45cm AT4+
Twin Multilaser 30cm AP4+/AT5+/AA6+

Notes: Damage Capacity 4. Transport (may carry up to twenty of the following units: Imperial Guard units: Supreme Commander, Commander, Infantry, Storm Troopers, Fire Support, Snipers, Ogryns, Sentinels; plus up to three of the following units: Leman Russ, Vanquisher, Demolisher, Griffon, Hellhound). Reinforced Armour. Thick rear armour. Fearless.

Critical Damage: Power conduits damaged, only six turrets may be fired from now on (attackers choice as to which) . Further critical hits cause an extra point of damage instead.

The critical hit results looks a bit of a nonsense.


Personally, I'm not sure if the Elysian list needs it ; Elysians don't hotdrop from space directly into combat, they establish a base on the planet and then fly to the target zone in Valkyries, where they then hot drop.

Notably, the lander's vehicle transport capacity would be wasted as Elysians don't use anything heavier than a Sentinel (No Chimeras, not Russes, no tanks of any kind).

Armageddon Pattern too? Hmmmmm. Doesn't really for with my Steel Legion PDF.
And 6+RA....well at least the critical is very forgiving.
Else: If this thing could transport Valkyries then the Elysians would use it :)

In dark Apostle the Elysian use some heavy landers which deploy vultures on the way down.
